My mom told me a remedy a long time ago but I have forgotten it. We have tried using a wooden toothpick (somebody told me about that before) but that doesn't seem to work too well.

Serious answers only, please.

is dr pepper a coke product because they always sell it next to the cokes and i was going to buy three twenty four packs of soda one sprite one coke and one dr pepper and the sign said that all coke products were 3 for 15 dollars on twenty four packs and the dr pepper was stached in the same pile the coke was but then when i got to the counter they said dr pepper wasnt a coke product and i had to pay full price so i got it anyway but then i read the back and where it would usually say bottled by a member of the coca cola product bla bla bla it said bottled by dr pepper so im a little confused because i grew up thinking that it was part of it.

when I was growing up we had what my Mom called soup plates.they were shallow bowls as big as plates.perfect for stews and soups.
I personaly have not seen these type of bowls for 20 years or so.so I guess they arent somthing you can just pick up anywhere.I would appreciate any information on where i could purchase or order such a set of these on line.thank you.

Every Saturday my husband & I host a college football day where most of our friends (mostly guys) come over and we watch a few football games, toss the football around, drink beer, etc. I try to pride myself in food selection but need some new ideas. What are some easy, inexpensive, fun football-party type foods for my football friends??? Right now I've been doing sloppy joes, store-bought pizza in the oven, wheat thins, cheese nips, pretzels and cookies. How can I mix it up and give people better food and selection?

I'm thinking of becoming Vegan for the month of October. I already am Vegan so it's not that much of a big step really. Anyone who's done this have you found it hard? & Is soy food near to the taste of the original?
Thanks. X

Hey! I'm cooking for 5 of my good guy friends and need a suggestion of what to make. Last time I cooked for them I made an asparagus risotto that they loved. None of them are vegetarians, so they probably won't appreciate anything with tofu or anything like that. Looking for something without TOO many ingredients and that won't cost me an arm and a leg to feed them. Thanks!

t was my normal morning routine, minus the cup of coffee. Just a few nights before I'd made my unbelievably good Irish potato and cheese soup: corned beef and cabbage stock seasoned with green onion and flat-leaf parsley, Yukon gold potatoes, and then grated extra sharp Vermont cheddar to melt and sweet Dublin-style cheddar sliced into little cubes so you have these great little chunks of cheddar floating in the corned beef and cabbage cheese broth. It makes for a really great soup; unfortunately, all that cheese can overpower the laxative effect of the cabbage and bind you up a bit.
Sitting on the throne the morning after soup-o-rama, I was straining to make the brown biscuits; but they were stuck in my colon like a recalcitrant turtlehead, so I just performed a cursory wipe and jumped into the shower.

Partway through the shower I felt a great buildup of pressure and let rip with a real barn-burner. The stench of the cabbage-cheese fart, combined with the steam from the hot water, was unbearable. I finished soaping up, rinsed down, and jumped out of the shower.

To my chagrin, I then noticed something terrible. There on the shower floor sat something that looked like a deer turd. Actually, though, it was a Hieronymous turd: an obviously tightly-compacted little bugger that must have shot out when I birthed that shower-evacuating nose-hair-curler.

My first thought was, "Damn, glad I caught that before anyone else came in here." I grabbed a wad of toilet paper, grabbed the thing up, and tossed it in the terlet. The turd was so compacted that it didn't even leave a smear. Quick spray with some 409 that was under the sink, a little more toilet paper, and I was out of there.

Unfortunately, the rest of the morning didn't offer much relief. Come lunchtime I decided to flush myself out with several cups of coffee... but that's a story for another day.

I'm a young girl who never drank before college, and even then, I've only drank a couple times. Everytime I drink, I never seem to feel the effects, and yet I feel sick to my stomach every night before going to bed. Sometimes I actually throw up, other times I just lay awake for four hours nervous that I'll throw up. But like I said, my actions don't change, and I don't feel the effects of the alcohol. Could I have some kind of immunity or intolerance? The stuff that I've had to drink is Mikes Hard, Bacardi Watermelon, or other girly drinks. I've thrown up on the Mikes and Bacardi, but then other nights I haven't thrown up on it. I'm having difficulty trying to pinpoint the source of the problem. Any help would be appreciated.
