I don't know if you don't drink milk either, but I am often faced with this dilemma cause I'm not a milk drinker, so I have lots of experience with these kinds of things :)

Basically if you don't use milk, it'll still turn out fine but it will just be a bit more drier and possibly chakier - this applies to Mac and Cheese too, and similar to whether or not you use butter.

If you're like me and you don't drink milk, I suggest using an alternative such as Rice Drink (not as bad as it sounds, trust me :) or Soymilk.

But if you just didn't have any milk in the refrigerator, then by all means go for it - just make sure you have some liquids to down it with when you're eating :)

Desperate times desperate measures, whisk some mayo into water as a milk substitute. Better yet go down to the store for some milk and come back with a bottle of wine and forget about pancakes.

It might affect the flavor a little (a little blander maybe) but it should be fine.

Not sure. Try using soy milk, if you are lactose-intolerant.
