is dr pepper a coke product because they always sell it next to the cokes and i was going to buy three twenty four packs of soda one sprite one coke and one dr pepper and the sign said that all coke products were 3 for 15 dollars on twenty four packs and the dr pepper was stached in the same pile the coke was but then when i got to the counter they said dr pepper wasnt a coke product and i had to pay full price so i got it anyway but then i read the back and where it would usually say bottled by a member of the coca cola product bla bla bla it said bottled by dr pepper so im a little confused because i grew up thinking that it was part of it.

Dr pepper is a cadbury schweppes product. However, depending on the area you live in, it will be distributed by a different company. Where I live, it is distributed by the local coca cola bottler. Usually, it goes on sale with the coke products but sometimes it isn't included with the sale.

20 miles south of here, the local Pepsi distributor carries it. It all depends on who has the contract to carry that product in your area.

It is not owned by either Coke or Pepsi. However it is bottled by their distributors including either a Coke or a Pepsi distributor in the area. There is no Dr Pepper soda maker which is why it shows up as made through one of the other cola companies.

Actually Dr Pepper is owned by Cadbury Schweppes Americas Beverages, a subsidiary of the British Chocolate company, and home to the worst factory tour ever.

THERE IS NO DR PEPPER COMPANY ANY MORE ! THERE IS NO DR PEPPER COMPANY ANY MORE ! THERE IS NO DR PEPPER COMPANY ANY MORE !!!!!>>> sorry mike you dont win <<< ...........The Dr Pepper Company merged with The Seven-Up Company in 1986 and the combined institution was known as Dr Pepper/Seven-Up Companies, Inc. In 1995, London-based Cadbury Schweppes acquired Dr Pepper/Seven-Up Companies, Inc. The names has been shortened to Dr Pepper/Seven Up. ......... so mike is just a little bit incorrect not totally right...............the distrubiting rights are owned by both coke and pepsi .... in different areas. sometimes you can get dr pepper on sale when coke is on sale and sometimes you can get it on sale when pepsi is on sale it all depends on where you shop.

there is a difference between companies that make the product and companies that bottle it. I read that once it took me a while to figure it and i came to that conclusion.
