Food & Drink - 14 June 2007

I got an homemade icecream machine (it plugs in so you don't need to hand cranck it) from my grandparents but don't know exactly how to use it (besides plugging it in) or have any recipes for it.

Any tip would be great. . . thank you!!!

i recently turned 21 and have never drank in my life.

tomorrow, my friends and i are going out to bars, clubs, etc...
we're all planning to have a huge party with drinks to celebrate my birthday(late).
i'm probably going to be drinking a lot.


how bad would this be considering that i've never drunk beer before?
also, would it be bad to drink more than one kind of beer?

I need dinner ideas BUT they have to be fairly cheap...fairly easy...Chicken or beef (we dont eat pork and my kids hate fish)
Things i do all the time and are completely sick of are

Tacos, burgers, meatloaf, spaghetti, pizza...normal stuff

AND i dont want to buy ingrediants that il will only use once (I bought red wine vinegar once, used 1/2 cup and it sat in my cupboard till in was rancid)

I am thinking about making crepes for a class im taking this summer. I have to make something from france, and crepes sounded easy enough. But, are they easy to make and what could i fill them with or serve them with that would not be a lot of money and i could do easily. For me, I'd choose either Giada DiLaurentiis or Tyler Florence. They both make dishes that are easy to prepare and they give detailed instructions on what to do. I'm probably forgetting someone, but at the time, these two names are coming to me.
