For me, I'd choose either Giada DiLaurentiis or Tyler Florence. They both make dishes that are easy to prepare and they give detailed instructions on what to do. I'm probably forgetting someone, but at the time, these two names are coming to me.

Either Paula (because she cooks southern, and my husband's southern), or Emeril because he seems kind of down to earth about cooking. Or Bourdain, because I'd gladly offer him a beer and wouldn't care if he smoked in the house since we do.

I think my brain would go into convulsions if Rachael showed up at my house. Peppy overload!

Oh wow.... Okay. Let's see...

Paula Deen - but ONLY if she makes me fried chicken - I DROOL like a St. Bernard every time I see it in the opening sequence of her show

Alton Brown - just for the amusement factor.

Giada DeLaurentiis, Michael Chiarello, or Ina Garten for the food - I love some of the simplicity of their dishes.

There are several who I really like Alton Brown,
Paula Deen, and Giada DiLaurentis. If they could be made into one chef... dam!!
Alton Brown - excellent explanation/ demostration of why he is doing what ever
Paula Deen - for her down home recipes and butter
Giada DiLaurentis - for lighter/tasty Italian recipes

It would be Giada DiLaurentis, G Garvin, or Lidia Bastianich, they're style is very family style, rustic, and simple.

Not sure about Ina Garten, but I would definitely drink with her, and I wouldn't mind being her houseguest...her home is unbelievable!!!

Anthony Bourdain. Because he is the coolest chef out there and he wouldn't make some pompous, garnished-out meal. Actually I don't care if he cooked or whatever. I'd like best to just travel with him. I love his show.

Paula Deen, I love her, she seems like she would be so fun to hang out with. The food she cooks is good Southern food and that is what I love and cook all the time.
I have used several of her recipes and they are always so good. My boyfriend loves it when I use her recipes.

it is a tossup for me too, one of three. Giada DiLaurentiis, Emeril Lagasse, or Chen Kenichi, hard to choose though
