According to Dr. Gott's advice...you are to take one 7.5 milligram tablet of brewer's yeast everyday and it will repel mosquitos immediately. Have not tried it myself, but my dad takes one just before going outside and says it is the best thing ever. Hope this helps!

Take one vitamin B-1 tablet a day during the mosquito season. The odor the tablet gives out through your skin repels mosquitoes, black flies and gnats. But, it does not work on stinging insects.

I was told that Brewers Yeast and garlic should do the trick, however, a combination of those two will most likely repel everyone else too!

I've heard brewer's yeast/B-1 vitamin, garlic, onions, and I've also heard that applying catnip to your skin is WAY more effective than even DEET. I tried just rubbing catnip on my skin once and no moquitoes bugged me at all. Cats were a different story...

Now where to find catnip oil..... that isn't something I know.

While living South of the Border, down in Mexico, one summer, 14 years ago, I kept wondering why out of all the people standing around the plaza, in this small town, I was the only one who was getting bitten by mosquitos. I finally asked one of the people why this was so, and the reply I got was amazing.

It seems the Mexicans don't worry about getting bit by mosquitos because of the hot spicy diet they consume daily.
Hot peppers, hot sauce(so hot it will burn the hair off your toes), plenty of avacados, chili pepers and lots of beer.

Because of this diet, they are able to work outdoors all day long, in the hot summer heat and when night approaches, and the winged blood-suckers come out, these people never seem to be concerned about the mosquitos , in fact, mosqiotos tend to stray away from these people, maybe the blood they suck comes out too spicy and no tums are available for mosquitos.

I've heard that anything with vitamin B12 in it - like a can of that RockStar is suppose to be a good source of it. I've also heard not to eat things with a lot of potassium like bananas.
