so we need a clever name. It's a competition with the other groups in the class so we need to be CREATIVE. our cookies are chocolate chip, and we're putting smiley-faces on them with icing. we need something random, clever, or both!

I can't believe how many times this has been asked, BUT...

I put cold water in a pan, to cover 8 cold eggs. I brought the water to a boil, then turned off the heat and put the lid on the eggs. I waited at least 15 minutes, maybe even twenty. I trusted that should be plenty, as this was how Her Highness Rachel Ray says to hard boil an egg. After rinsing the eggs in cool water, I put them in the fridge. That was yesterday. Today, I just got one out to eat it, and it's RAW. The white is cooked, the yellow is barely, barely firm. It might even be firm mostly from the cold fridge. I've read the other answers to this same question, and people have answered that you should boil your eggs anywhere from 2-3 to 20 minutes...

How can I get a COOKED hard boiled egg, preferably with no grey? Is there anything I can do with the 7 raw eggs in my fridge? Thanks so much~

SPRINKLE evenly with marshmallows and chocolate chunks. Bake an additional 3 to 5 minutes or until marshmallows begin to puff. Press reserved graham pieces gently into marshmallows. Cool in pan on wire rack.
LIFT out of pan onto cutting board using foil handles. Cut into 36 bars.

My husband has been craving fried Spam and buttermilk biscuits for supper. (His grandmother used to make this for him when he was little). While I admit, I'm not too thrilled about cooking this, I'm going to fix it for him tonight. What's something good to go with it??? I'm not a big Spam fan, so I don't know what's good to go with it.

People in this section seem to be very aggressive in either defending or attacking vegetarianism but I don't find that to be the case in real life. I've only found people curious about being vegetarian, and I've certainly never met anyone who would ask rude questions or make the outrageous statements I've read here. What gives? Why the hostility? Do any of you find these kinds of questions or statements in real life?

I thought about a rice salad of some kind, but my problem is, I'm having guests over tomorrow night and roast chicken and vege are already on the menu.

I'm concerned about how long I can keep the rice and how to store it as I have heard that cooked rice can pose a salmonella risk.

Would I make up a salad tonight (and then there is the problem of how to do that, or what to do) and store the rice for the two days in the fridge (obviously clingfilmed/gladwrapped) or do I leave the rice then make a salad on the day I am using it.

Are there any other ways to used cooked rice? Perhaps a rice pudding to go with tomorrow's roast? How would I go about that?

I really don't know what to do with all this left over cooked rice or how to store it properly or if it's safe to store in the fridge for a few days, any advice, recipes, suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, I like to put my can of coke in the freezer for about an hour because It makes it taste really good when you get just a little bit of ice in there. But, apparently I forgot about mine last night..because i awakened to open my freezer only to find a nighmare of blackish sludge coating everything and it was horrible. Now I am faced with the task of mucking it out and disposing of the poor remaining shrapnel of my coke can. What in the world? What made this happen? I didnt know coke cans would explode in the freezer. LOL

I have seen a question that has been answered incorrectly. The question asked was about vodka double wine. It does, or at least did, in fact, exist, but all it means is really strong vodka. My question is can anyone find any links or info to back this up. This is the info I found.

Vodka was generally referred to as wine and divided into types: normal vodka was called simple wine, the best of this type being called vino dobroye (good wine); still higher was vino boyarskoye (boyar's wine); finally, higher still was vino dvoynoe (double wine), which was extremely strong.
