I just got a LOT of carrots, cucumbers, onions and potatoes, how can I store them so they will last as long as possible? Also, how do you make pickles from cucumbers?

I'm a college student and don't have a fridge, but love chips and cheese dip. Is there a cheese dip, or queso, that doesn't need refrigeration. Everything I've seen at the store says to "refrigerate after opening". Any help would be appreciated.

I"m doing a presentatin on Granada. I did not take a picture when i was there of the "tapas" that we ate. It was salt cured meats (and other dishes) I wanted a picture of a nice dish with the cured meats on it!

I got a mate gourd shipped to me cracked. Does anyone know a fix for that? I know how to cure a mate so it won't crack but I have never had one come cracked.

I've always been curious.

Everytime I ask someone "Whats in hotdogs."

They go "Everything."

Thats not telling me nothing! Please tell me exactly whats in hotdogs and why people find them so dicusting.

I love them.

But I am afraid I wont once I read this, but I probably will. Haha I dont have a weak stomach or is the type of person that looses their apetite when I hear gross stuff. SO GO AHEAD.

My best friend is super dooper sensitive when it comes to just about anything and she actually used Diet Mt. Dew as a wake up source. Drinking one can of it (or any diet soda, but MT. Dew specifically cuz she loves the taste) wakes her up like 2-3 cups of coffee would wake the average person...it's just ridiculous! She also chews Extra gum which again has Aspartame. I worry about her Aspartame intake very much cuz she's a pretty avid gum chewer and diet Mt. Dew drinker. I do not need any facts pro or against Aspartame as that's not why i am here. I am asking what beverages (besides coffee and energy drinks would would wire her for days!) are out there that someone has tried that they liked the taste of? Just drinking an Iced Tea wakes her up so I do not need any energy type drinks or any kind mentioned. Trying to help her ween off of Aspartame products and she's pretty dependant so I really do need serious help!
