I have used dextrose in the past, but don't have any at the moment. Is granulated (white) sugar ok to use for bottling? Is it fermentable?

I was driving through the little town of Hemlock right about in the middle of Michigan several years ago when I passed an ice cream shop called Whippy Dip. Recently, I was talking to somebody who was talking about a Whippy Dip he had seen in another part of Michigan (both were out in the middle of nowhere). I looked up some info on it, and they don't have a web site or a wikipedia page, although I did find mentions of a few more locations.....Mears, MI; Monroesville, IN; Mason, OH; and Decorah, IA. Does anybody know anything about these Whippy Dips?

I don't like "bitter melon" if that is considered a vegy! Yukko!
and I also cannot stand that vegie..with the sticky gunk in them...that you eat with other foods..I think that it is a southern food..but, man, what is in that vegy, snot or something? boogers?
Gross! Sorry, but I don't like them, plain or with anything on them! Disgusting!
Okay, so what are your "unfav's"?

I'm making a dessert and the recipe calls for berries well this time of the year is bad to find fresh berries so I bought frozen berries in a bag. One time I heard that you could put 7-up with the berries. Is that true? Or is there any other way?

My mom makes this white sauce that is just great.... She uses Butter, flour, Heavy Cream, and Parmesan Cheese, It is so good but so fattening you feel guilty. Does any one know a recipe for Alfredo Sauce, that is good and has less fat! I love to hear any recipes also if any one knows anything with Alfredo Sauce...

When I was a kid my family always had ni**** toes in the house. Now when I go to the store I can't seem to find them and can't ask cause well I don't know their real name. This makes it really hard with my kids around and such cause I love the nut but don't have a name for it. No one I have asked through work & friends know them by anyother name. So I was hoping someone could help. Cause I would hate to have another scene in the store where my kid almost yelling "hey mom is this the ni**** nuts you were asking dad about?!?!" from about 15 feet away. That was a bad day!
Anyhow they are dark brown almost half moon shaped with a very hard shell. The nut it self is very hard to get out of it's shell in one piece and if you get a little of the shell skin left on your nut it tastes very very foul!
Anyone know what they are actually called?
