Smack the person who told you it has fat in it...they're so dead wrong.
That's not to say that drinking a lot of wine won't make you fat...it does contain quite a bit of calories. However, calories do not equal fat.

Wine has no fat but it does have calories. White wine has approximately 100 calories in 5 oz and 1.18 carbs. Red wine has 106 calories and 2.51 carbs. So it doesn't have FAT but it does have things like (calories and carbs) that can cause you to gain weight.

Sounds like that "someone" is confusing fat with calories. Wine is fat free, but it does contain calories. Calories can turn to fat. But wine itself, is fat free.

Wine does not have fat, but it contains extremely high levels of sugar, which your body will in turn convert into fat to store.

it wouldn't have fat in but alcohol is made from alot of sugar and yeast, so the sugar in it is probably fattening.
