We recently went to Maui and learned that when they harvest their sugarcane they burn it first. Someone told us that they use chemicals to spray on them to get them to ignite bettter. Do you know anything about this?

I am looking at remodeling my kitchen and I plan to install a new gas cooktop. I would love your opinions on which would be the best stovetop to purchase. I love to cook and try to pretend I am a gourmet! I have wondered about a Viking, Wolf, or Bosch cooktop. Thanks for any help!

Some people say a cast iron skillet is best, but I wonder is it just about getting the oil hot enough. By the way I'm making french fries.

I was sitting at my dinning room table eating Dippin Dots Ice Cream. I did this for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Then it was the next day (still in dream) and the same thing happened. This was happening for 2 months, then I weighed my self and I only weighed 98 pounds!

Trying to stay away from red meat for 2007 also. Dairy (cheeses/creams) are fine. Also open to exotic spices and other ingredients. Would like to keep them fresh and firm. So no stews or heavy boiling. Any ideas?

Thanks.....email you a picture of the result if it works out.

I only spend 20 dollars (this includes non food items). It is just me alone. I tend to run out by mid week though because I take the bus and walk , therefor I can't buy alot of canned foods or bulk items. Most of my purchases are frozen foods.

I was at a Superbowl party a couple of years ago and someone brought sweet and sour kielbasa in a crock pot. It was fabulous, but i don't really recall the recipie, other than I think the sauce was ketchup based.

Anyone know this one ?

A friend gave me like 3 dozen farm-fresh double-yolk eggs, and i don't want them to go to waste ( i can already feel my arteries hardening!!haha!)... maybe egg bakes or other casserole ideas? Planning on bringing a dish over to the neighbors. Thanks!!
