When I buy sardines I reserve a little of the oil, put the sardines and the reserved oil in a food processor with a little feta cheese and make a paste out of it. It's good on toast, crackers and Italian dressing.

Get the ones in tomato sauce, much healthier. Drain the oil from the others or the toast will go soggy - yuk

Best to use sardines in tomato sauce. Add a little vinegar and put under the grill for a bit. Also avoids the 'what do I do with the oil?' dilemma!

1/ open the tin.
2/ throw the contents (All) into a saucepan
3/ make a mild curry round the fish
4/ scoff the lot
5/ beware of skid marks
6/ only do this on odd occasions or people will start to move away from you.
7/ Good luck, and think of me when you pluck up the courage to try it

You probably don't want to drink all the oil, but it is a good source of Omega 3.
