I just canned some apple cranberry sauce and I left about a half inch for headspace. Unfortuanately they boiled over slightly. All the cans have sealed and I washed the outsides of the jars (taking the bands off) but there is no space between the lid and the sauce. Should I take them apart and recan, am I screwed, or can I leave them as is?

Rather than have a wedding cake, my partner and I would like to have a 'cheese fountain' made - stacked high with different cheeses, fruits, nuts etc - for our wedding. We've heard of someone else having this done and as my partner is diabetic, it makes more sense for us since he can't eat the cake! I'm looking for someone in the Greater Manchester (UK) area who might be able to make something like this.

Basically what I want to know is, how long after the 'best before date' can you continue to eat eggs when they have been kept refridgerated? It's just that a friend of mine said the 'best before date' only applies when the eggs are not refridgerated. Is this true?

I currently use cows’ milk on cereal and in tea etc... I have recently been considering a more healthy diet and have heard a lot about the benefits of different types of milk (Soya, rice....) and also about the benefits of a dairy free diet. I'd like to know about other peoples’ experiences and what recommendation you would make? What are the options, the pros and cons?
