Pomegranate juice can be used to make gelatin desserts, sauces and dressing, while the seeds can be used as a garnish or eaten alone. There is no right way to get at the juicy insides of a pomegranate, but these suggestions should help.

Extract the Seeds
Instructions
STEP 1: Cut off the flowery end of the pomegranate. STEP 2: Score into sections. STEP 3: Place in a bowl of water. STEP 4: Allow fruit to soak for 5 minutes. STEP 5: Break the sections of the fruit open in the bowl of water. STEP 6: Allow the seed kernels to separate from the rind and sink to the bottom. STEP 7: Discard the rind and drain the kernels. Tips & Warnings
A less formal way to enjoy the pomegranate raw is to just break or cut the fruit open and extract the kernels with your fingers or a nut pick.
The seeds inside the kernels may be eaten.
Extract the Juice
Instructions
STEP 1: Press the fruit against a countertop. STEP 2: Roll it back and forth to break open the kernels and release the juice. STEP 3: Puncture or cut the pomegranate to squeeze the juice out. Tips & Warnings
Another method is to blend seeds in a blender or food processor, and drain the juice through cheesecloth.

I always get in there with my fingers! much easier than a pin! i get a plate, a bowl, a sharp knife, a plastic bag for the rubbish and a whole heap of kitchen roll then i just sit, cut it up on the plate, put the seeds in the bowl, put the rubbish in the bag, and keep the kitchen roll to hand for wiping my fingers on!

i've done this before with four pomegranites at once and kept them in the fridge. fantastic to nip in a grab some as a quick snack!

I always used a pin when I was small - think my mum used to give them to us as they kept us quiet as they took so long to eat lol:)

I take it all apart and put all the seeds in a Tupperware before I start eating it.

We used to just eat it by picking out the fruit with our fingers.

Try a spoon; a teaspoon that is, - I have one that is a bit pointy, and it works fine.
