Please include ingredients beyond vegtables such as tofu, etc. too. Spices, herbs, nuts, etc.? What do you eat the stir-fry on? Rice, pasta, etc? I am out of dinner recipe ideas. THANKS in advance.

Would Chicken And Dumplings taste better if cooked in a crock pot? If so would you fix them the same way as you would on the stove? About how long would it take for them to be done? Has anyone ever tried this? If so let me know how they turned out.

I know this vegetable once cooked gives off a sticky goo and I would like to avoid this in the dishes I would like to prepare.
I'm hoping someone out there has a method/way that gets rid of this.
I've had Okra in gumbos and stir fry (in restaurants), and they are never gooey/slimy, so there must be some kitchen trick that someone can share with me.

we called it a "Cannibal Sandwich"..it is ground round (very lean)...raw...spread on a thin slice of dark rye bread, topped with sliced raw onions...and salt and pepper. I remember my mom serving these at Christmas time...and everyone loved them... I havent seen or heard of it in a while. But I loved it!!
