I personally never tried it but....
My Italian Grandmother (bless her!) made the world's most delicious spaghettie sauce. She spent the whole day every Sunday preparing it. One of the secret ingredients was a pig's foot. eww! right? Fortunately for all the children we were never expected to eat it. It was considered my Grandfathers. He always got the pig's foot. Me and my sister's would always watch in awe as he ate the thing....

Grass hopper. Apparently, it was a common food in Japan after loosing the war against America, that caused serious food shortage. My mum liked it as a child, and she managed to find it being sold when she went on holiday somewhere. So she bought it, brought it, we tried it. Just like many other things in Japan it was cooked in soy sauce and sugar, so it tasted like soy sauce and sugar. But I had to stop her from putting it in my lunch box, as I didn't want to scare my friends...it was no longer 40s, but 90s at the time.
It's no longer something to eat in Japan now.

My grandfather used to eat the chicken's "toukas" or as we called it, "the part that goes over the fence last"! We kids would watch in amazement as he popped it into his mouth, chewed awhile and then spit out the tiny bones. Still makes me smile when I think of it!!!! He also ate the feet. My most adventerous try were "mountain oysters". They actually were good.

I love chicken feet as well.
It is very common to use them in our Chicken soups in Mexico.
The worst (most unusual ) thing I have eaten is Armadillo Soup that my great-Aunt used to make when we were kids.
She lived in a small Ranch in Mexico and this was not uncommon to eat (as long as you were lucky enough to catch one). Darn things move very quickly.

I like to try most things at least once to see if I will like it......
but the worst so far was a spanish tripe dish - the smell when cooked was really bad....literally couldn't stomach it!
I'm sure there are better tripe dishes out there that I've yet to discover and like!

I was given pigs' trotters to try when staying with a family on a french exchange. It was a little like sucking a handful of ham flavoured marbles. Not really my thing, frankly.

I went to a party once and there was a buffet there, I was munching away on something that was like a kind of noodle texture and said this is lovely and was told it was jelly fish!
