Let's pretend you're going to have a dozen Iraq/Afghanistan war vets coming over for a nice homecooked meal, and you really want to put out a great spread....(yes, you've got the space, a workable kitchen, a decent budget, and you CAN cook!). You're thinking about wonderful yummy dishes.....the sorts of things that you THINK they've probably been dreaming about eating for the past year or so...

What would you serve---entrees and side dishes? (This question is primarily for foodie people who like to play with ideas and don't mind doing a lot of "work" for a couple of points.)

Come play with me on this!

Hi y'all, I am a Sunday School teacher for a bunch of adorable children between the ages of 5-8 at the Faith Interstate Southern Baptist Church.

This Sunday, we're are going to have a lesson about our Savior's crucifixion, and I've always been big on lesson activities, so I thought we would have the children participate in a pretend crucifixion.

Today, I went to Home Depot and bought a few 2x4 planks for the cross. During the lesson, one of the children will be chosen to be crucified and will be attached to the cross with rubber bands or duct tape (I haven't decided yet), and the rest of the children will be the mocking crowds.

I thought this would be a great way for the children to get a perspective on our Savior's crucifixion. Does anybody else have any additional ideas?

Last week we had an activity lesson on the Garden of Gethsemene but the red raspberry jam just made a big mess. Any non-messy suggestions?

So this week they wrap a tostada in a tortilla and add ranch dressing and cheese sauce, and then market it like it is a new food revelation. Next week they will wrap a standard taco shell in a tortilla, add some beans and market it like they have never come up with this idea before.

Are the marketing geniuses behind Taco Bell all Alzheimers patients? This would make more sense.
