Education of foods that are bad for you is one thing, but banning some are another. If a food is causing people to die, that's another thing too. But otherwise, noone should outlaw foods. Salt is bad for some people but I have a salt deficiancy so it is good for me to eat more than the norm.

By the way, have you seen "Demolition Man"? Case in point...

People should be allowed to eat whatever they want, but there should be a law against gluttonous over eating. There is a growing obesity epidemic and we're kidding ourselves if we think it'll go away on it's own. Today's generation of kids will be the first to be outlived by their parents due to the onset of childhood obesity and diabetes. When these children get older, the strain on the healthcare system will be massive.

Look around at all the school aged children today. They're humongous due to overeating, processed foods and sedentary lifestyles. Kids don't play outside anymore, they're too busy vegging out in front of the tv or computer. I recall three kids in my entire school who were considered obese. Today, half a classroom is filled with overweight kids. It starts with education and lifestyle change...hopefully we can all get on the ball and teach our kids to eat healthy and exercise more.
