I am hosting a December Bridal shower brunch. I want to have some really nice foods, but brunches usually mean cooking eggs and stuff and I don't want to spend the first half of the party cooking so the egg dishes are fresh. Anyone have any ideas?

I asked this in the "cooking & recipes" category (didn't see the "ethnic cuisine" category) and I'm not getting the answer I'm looking for! Please help with some real answers!!

Went to a (Mexican) friend's house for dinner and they had skirt steak that was put on tortillas, that's it (so simple and soo good). They had a green sauce and a red sauce. How do you make the sauces? And what's the difference between the red and green? How do you cook the meat?

She's visiting family in Mexico and then going on vacation for the next six weeks. Otherwise, I would ask her!

A japanese friend of mine used to make these for me at holidays. She would hardboil an egg and wrap it in this beef and then cook it somehow and slice it so you had a piece of hardboiled egg sitting in the middle of a teriyaki beef round. Anyone know how to make this? Thanks for reading.

I have some nice boneless, skinless chicken breasts. What is something different I could do with these. I don't have very many ingredients on hand. Please, simple recipes.

I lift weights on a regular basis and consume alot of soy. I like the taste and need all the protien. I am a vegetarian and consume less than 10% of my calories from fat so soy is a big part of my diet. I've heard some bad things about soy like the estrogen effect reducing testosterone and making males take on female characteristics, and that it leads to abnormal thyroid function. To me that just does not ad up, it's just a vegetable. But I am probably consuming 50 grams of soy protien a day in my diet - not through supplements but through soy food products. Have any of you used soy for long periods of time? What were your experiences?

Non Alcoholic beer still smells like beer. If you have many pints the police would obviously smell this on your breath, should you be stopped. Would it register on a breathiliser though even though it doesnt contain any alcohol?

Does anyone have a recipe for layered taco dip that has cream cheese? I'm pretty sure I've made it before with CC, salsa, lettuce, cheese, and olives. Anyone have a good recipe. I hate guacomole and refried beans. So nothing with that. Thanks.
