So I have an electric ice cream maker that I received as a gift... and I'm totally psyched cause I've found a GREAT recipe! I have to layer the outside of the ice cream can with layers of ice and rock salt....first of all, in the middle of July, I can't find rock salt ANYWHERE... I've called SO MANY places! Where can I find this? And WHY do I need it? Don't people use rock salt on their driveways to MELT the ice? I'm confused... if I layer the rock salt and the ice, won't it MELT the ice and it won't stay as cold as long? Thanks in advance if you know the answer to this...

I love pork bacon. I was in the market recently and saw beef bacon.

It's logical that it could be made, since bacon comes from the cured belly of the pig, but this seemed so bizzarre to me.

What did it taste like? What made you buy it?

I just recently noticed that there were brown bugs in my rice. I started at first thinking they were dirt specks and washed them all out. Now I find that they are actually bugs and the reason why I know is that they move when you look closely. I was wondering if this is common in rice. I buy mine in the 30 lb. sacks at the Asian supermarkets. Any help on this would be great! Thanks again.

Whenever I try to make simple bread it seems to become very hard and maybe use a chisel/hammer to cut open, so where am I going wrong too much yeast? it simply wont rise even after all the advice on the net I keep it for 4 to 5 hours on butter paper and all that, you make bread at home?! You please tell me how its done properly!
