Absinthe has been effectively made legal in the European Union (with the possible exception of France, where the name "absinthe" cannot be marketed.) According to the Wired article http://www.wired.com/wired/archive/13.11/absinthe.html, a Louisiana (USA) native living in France has reverse-engineered authentic absinthe from the 1800's, and it is available for sale in the EU (absinthe is still unavailable in the USA, despite modern studies debunking its historically dangerous reputation). Some friends and I are intrigued, and we would like to find a bar or restuarant in Paris or Amsterdam that may offer it for sale. Does anyone know where it might be sold?

I understand this may sound like a very biased question, but it is realistic.

In places like Africa where food is very scarce and people raise pigs and cattle as a means of survival, some people have no other means for food and survival.
Now, would it be unreasonable for them to kill those animals in order to eat and stay alive?
To what extent should "animal's rights" be protected when human survival becomes a factor?
