Absinthe has been effectively made legal in the European Union (with the possible exception of France, where the name "absinthe" cannot be marketed.) According to the Wired article http://www.wired.com/wired/archive/13.11/absinthe.html, a Louisiana (USA) native living in France has reverse-engineered authentic absinthe from the 1800's, and it is available for sale in the EU (absinthe is still unavailable in the USA, despite modern studies debunking its historically dangerous reputation). Some friends and I are intrigued, and we would like to find a bar or restuarant in Paris or Amsterdam that may offer it for sale. Does anyone know where it might be sold?
