Sugar in fruit is called fructose, and is a simple sugar. Fructose is recommended for diabetics, because it doesn't raise the bloodsugar.
Sugar in chocolate is sucrose, like table sugar. It raises the bloodsugar rapidly.

Sugars in a chocolate bar are refined sugars, which are bad for you. Real fruit has natural sugars.

They both end up as glucose in your body, but the sugars in fruit are called fructose and the candy, sucrose. Fructose has to go through more chemical changes, though, so it doesn't cause as many immediate reactions in your body as the plain 'ol sugar.
