I love pork bacon. I was in the market recently and saw beef bacon.

It's logical that it could be made, since bacon comes from the cured belly of the pig, but this seemed so bizzarre to me.

What did it taste like? What made you buy it?

Yup. Saw it in the cooler next to the regular bacon, thought I'd try it. Yuck! Tasted like shoe leather! Gimme good ol' hawg belly every time!

My boyfriend's daughter makes homemade beef bacon. It looks like flattened out hamburger but it tastes pretty good. It has somewhat of a bacon flavor. It also tends to be almost as greasy as pork bacon. I thought it was good but definitely doesn't have the same flavor as real bacon. It's actually closer to a Spam flavor. Try it. What can it hurt?

I'm not into eating pork all that much, so I buy beef bacon sometimes. It's good, still just as fatty as pork bacon but with a beef taste.

I've had dog bacon before. I was on vacation in south eash asia, and I was stupid enough to eat first and ask questions later.

When my tour guide told me what it was, I thought he was kidding. When I found out he was serious, my face turned green.
