I am working on losing a lot of weight (down from 238 to 200, goal is 145-160)

My friends tell me I should be happy and date as I am. I am telling them that I think my options are limited right now and I would like to wait until I am closer to my goal weight.

For some reason they are always disagreeing with me. But they are slim and freak out when they gain 5 lbs.

What is wrong with wanting to look my best so I have more options available? The types of guys that like me now I am generally not interested in (they tend to be older or black guys) no offense, I am also black by the way.

ok, I'm a high school freshman and this girl is a sophmore. I don't share any classes with her at all and I don't know her from anywhere. Sometimes when I walk by her, she looks at me. But not every time and it's not a stare, it's a 1-4 second look. It's difficult to approach her because she's always hanging around her friends. Lastly, I can't tell if she has a boyfriend or if this guy is just another one of her friends. So how do I know if she likes me or not?

Okay, I am a freshman and he is a sophmore. He is probably the hottest guy I have ever seen. He is genuine and nice to me. Some days I feel that he likes me because I catch him starring at me and others I feel like he likes my friend (she is 2X smarter and prettier than me.). It makes me so mad. I don't like liking him anymore. But I can't get over this beautiful fealing I recieve everytime her looks or talks to me. I feel like he is perfect. I just need to know signs that a guy likes you and not your friend.



P.S. He is a party guy and likes to dance! Like me. My friend doesn't. Would it be a sign that he would rather go to the dance if I asked him to go like "Hey Tom, are you going to the dance?" And he said he would but to my friend he said,
" Probably not." Is that a sign?

What do you think of this? a risky move?
hi i'm a girl and this is what i did on thursday. i told my friend while we were sk8ting something about him. he was asking me like what is bothering and that i seemed bumb out. i told him that is has to do with him and he was curious. i like him and have a crush on him and told him on a piece of paper. i was to shy to tell him so he read it. i asked him out for a date and wanted to be more then friends but he said no. he said it was because his other relationship ended bad and that he doesn't want to lose our friendship..i was rejected so i was ok with it. he then said bye to me with a hug and handshake and we left..what do you think? i should do? was it to ordinary?

I've been in class with this guy all semester and we looked at eachother but never talked because we were both in relationships. Now we are both single..my relationship is permanently over, but his is borderline. We ran into eachother at the club, danced all night, stayed up late talking, and have been texting and hanging out since. He says that he doesn't want or need his ex but they dated so long hes not sure he could turn her down if she wanted him back. there is this kid whom likes me, and i like him. he is going to ask me out but im really nervous.

im really not used to being this highly regarded by anyone, (which also makes me uneasy) although i do have self confidence

ive never had an in school boyfriend before and im afraid of what will happen if we break up.

will it ruin our friendship? i guess im also kind of nervous about commiting to one person.


is it possible that we can be 'going out' but not really have the official title, and be commited to one another and do everything a BF/GF do? that way, if we have to break up, we can just go back to being friends without all the drama.

My girlfriend is bi and i love her so much it hurts. she gets on line to look at girls on myspace and see if they want o have fun woth us but it kills me that she thinks about some one else sexually tan me i fill like she dosen't love me as much as i love her. i do every thing in my power to make her happy she's pregnat with my child and i'm helping her in a custidy battle for her two girls. we're both good common folk trying to make a living . but i just would die with out her. We've been friends for about a year and a half, and were pretty close.One day about a year ago, I looked in her eyes and just fell head over heels for her. After a while I decided to tell her, instead of her finding out through someone else. One night i just told her, and she told me she didnt like me like that, but that she loves being my friend. So, a couple of months ago she started dating this friend of mine, kind of the same situation, none of us (me and some other close frinds) think she liked him, and they broke up recently. And I just can't get her out of my head, every attempt is basically futile. Can someone help me, I don't know if I should make a move before someone else comes along (she's obviously not grieving about the break-up), or just stay in the sidelines and do nothing.

Im not really sure what to think. Ive always had a crush on her but never really let it be known. Then we hung out at a halloween party and had a really good time together. Then about two weeks ago she called me wanted to know when I was going to be back from college for christmas break and wanted to know if we could hang out. The funny thing is that Ive never given her my phone number so i dont know if thats a good sign or not. Since then shes called my again when she was at a party and told me that I should come. we've never met and had these incredible conversations on the phone. We are going to finally meet this weekend, we really connect and I amazed by his insight. He listens to me always gives me constructive feedback and how to deal with things. He said at first, he was interested in us just hooking up but now he said he doesn't want to rush things and lose our friendship we've developed. I keep waiting for him to lose interest and go his way but it hasn't happened yet. My only concern is he's 15 years younger than me, I'm 38 and he's 23. Guys, when you were coming of age and realized what "Mr. Happy" was all about did you ever try to see if you could do it. THIS IS NOT A QUESTION if it is gross, gay, etc. DID YOU EVER TRY IT?
