We've been friends for about a year and a half, and were pretty close. One day about a year ago, I looked in her eyes and just fell head over heels for her. After a while I decided to tell her, instead of her finding out through someone else. One night i just told her, and she told me she didnt like me like that, but that she loves being my friend. So, a couple of months ago she started dating this friend of mine, kind of the same situation, none of us (me and some other close frinds) think she liked him, and they broke up recently. And I just can't get her out of my head, every attempt is basically futile. Can someone help me, I don't know if I should make a move before someone else comes along (she's obviously not grieving about the break-up), or just stay in the sidelines and do nothing.

Sounds like to me you could be caught in the dreaded "Friend Zone" but if you've stood on the sidelines for more than a yr... i think its about time you tried to get in the game... get her some flowers one day just b/c and hopefully you'll be able to tell if she has some attraction towards you... if all else fails get her drunk lol...jk dont do that... just get her something nice and she how she reacts to it....

If you stay in the side lines you will never have a chance. Send her some flowers and hope her mind changes about "U". If "U" do any more than that YOUR stocking her. that will only drive her far way from you.
Love can bite, but at lease you have the feelings of it. Hope it works out for the best. But it may not work out the way "U" want it to, but try one more time.

i was in that situation at one time && personally i think you should go for it. just tell her that you really like her && that she is a great friend, but that you would kind of like more. let her know that you want to be her boyfriend but if that dont happen that you will always be her friend no matter what && you will still always be there for her. Also, get closer to her, hang out with her more, give her no choice but to fall head over heels for you too.

Spend some time with her. Take her out like friends. Then later that night after such a good time out, you mention to her that u really like her. Tell her that maybe you 2 can be better together, and she would be missing out on something good. Tell her to give it a try. But if she doesn't, don't look upset. Joke around and tell her.... "I tried. I guess all the plans i had to do with u, i will have to do with someone else."
Somehow girls get turned on, with a man that takes charge with his life....... like you took her out. you waited until night to tell her how you feel. you accepted her answer. you will continue with your life. (hey if u do consider dating and she knows..... she might actually, make her move. Girls are weird like that.

If i was in your shoes dont do it. Keep it as friends cuz if you do try to make the move and it dosent work out you will never be friends like you used too.

sometimes you've gotta put the blind-fold on and drive man.Carpe-diem. in the words of "The Eagles" : we may lose and we may win. but we will never be hear again.

I would probably be bitter and resentful of her dating my friend but I would also assume she did it just to mess with me or make me like her more.
besides, if you don't find out it will eat you alive.

shes going through a tough time right now, so be there for her and show her how much you care about her. most likely, she will realize that you two are perfect for eachother and she will fall for you too.
