if you doubted that you are not ready yet or he is in the same situation like you, then not going all the way was the right decision. Ready mean mentally and physically well prepared !
Well prepared mean knowing the consequences of sexual intercourse, willing to practice safe sex and be responsible for the action of your own decision ! and able to shoulder the many 'if' that involved such as if he has got disease, unwanted pregnancy, emotional aftermath.This apply to both of you !
Helping him with your hand or mouth is an alternative and a safer way too ! Don't rush into thing that you, he or both party may regret later !

the next day isnt always best time for a call. dont wanna be too aggressive. maybe the call will come during the next couple of days. not going all the way first is fine, some peeople prefer to mess around first night or first few nights, then go all the way after. id say most people are ok with that.

Well, I wouldn't worry about him not calling one day. But if 3, 4 days go by and no calls, then you not going all the way is a good thing.

Good for you!, sounds like you've got a sensible head on your shoulders. the answer to your question is a definite NO!, you should be proud of yourself, and if he hasnt rung back and he's not prepared to wait for you then can you honestly say he's right for you? Nobody should force you into something like that, and if you mean that much to him he will wait as long as it takes, GOOD LUCK!
