Singles & Dating - 18 November 2007

2 months ago my boyfriend broke up with me because he was tired of the arguing that I was causing. I understand now he was right to leave. I was a ***** to him. I begged him back for 2 weeks and he said he needed to think and we need space. TO that I insulted him and he cut contact. Now after a month of no contact, he calls and says he misses me. He wants to try again but go slow. I said this is going to be like starting over meaning no sex right away which he agreed to. I dont want to make my same mistakes with him again, hes very special. How do I prevent that?

he is very friendly and nice, but i heard he almost got fired a few times from his old job but could talk the boss out of it, he eventually did get fired for being arrogant and cockey, but within a week he got a better job as a salemen and sells stuff he doesnt even know about. he upsells knowing he is lying but looking people square in the eye without flinching and people trust him. he is very pleasent and nice though and polite. what do you think

My boyfriend introduced me to his friend. His friend is a real hard a** and he does drugs, gets into trouble, he's kind of a bad influence.. Well, I met him and his 400 pound girlfriend who lays on the bed all day and does drugs with him. They are both out of work and on drugs.

My boyfriend was telling me what they were discussing after I left and he said he asked his friend what he thought of me and if i was hot etc and the friend said '' Ahhh, she's not my type'.. I look like a model and his girlfriend is 300-400 pounds not exagerating and on drugs. How could he not find me attractive? Do you think he really didnt or just jealous?

Is it possible to do all these things? I want to be happier, more confident and more outgoing. I'm too reserved with people and not very trusting. I'm shy. I hate it. I'm a "nice guy" which means I'm not very successful with women (I'm 20 and not the best looking guy). I want to be more confident, but not arrogant.

So I had been dating this girl until Tuesday when she told me that she only thinks of me as a friend. This was strange to me because we had spent the last 2 days hanging out with each other and we had kissed and cuddled and made out ect. I took this as odd because no one changed their mind like that. She began to ignore me and would run off with her friends when she got off the tour bus and would close me out the circle when her and other people would talk.

She later told me that she has family problems and that she doesn't want anybody to know about them. I told her that I'd help her get through it but she told me "I can't keep dating you and not have you involved....if we keep dating, you will get involved" She won't tell me what the problems are because she doesn't want anybody to know.

We had a bit of a feud yesterday and I told her that she shouldn't have lied to me. She tried to claim that I don't care about her and vise versa when I really do and have showed her in the past.

if he was travelling away for a period of time.
and told you that a girl is so emotionally attached to him,and in love with him,but this girl is about to have an open heart surgery in a month.
and they have been together as a dear friend for him,but as a lover for her.

So there's this guy and he was telling me about the times he's been arrested in Baltimore. So I go,
"OMG! BALTIMORE! I've been to the aquarium, it was so neat :D!"
Or he talks about drugs and I say I have no clue about what he's talking about and he laughs at me and calls me a good kid and says, I know you don't.

Half the time the things aren't even funny, why does he laugh at me?

Yet it seems that men of the age I am interested in (40+) usually have at least a child out of their previous marriage. I know for a fact that I am not prepaired to co-exist with a child - let alone one that it is not mine, under the same roof. Though I can be with a man who will take care of his child at his own space and time and will not expect from me to act as a substitute mother. The question is really for single dads:- When you like a woman, would it be ok with you if she does not care to be a mom for your child? Is it ok for if the woman you like needs to keep a distance from your child? Or do all single dads (who are good dads) come with the idea: you like me - you MUST make space for my child in your life as well??
Let me make it easier: It is not that I hate children, I just don't feel like playing mom, or assuming the role of the stepmother, or sharing most of my time with him AND his child instead with him only. I don't care to have ALL of his time.

I told this guy I have been seeing for a while (and known for about 5 years nows) that I am interested in him. He tells me he has a girlfriend now and is madly in love with her.

He tells me there is nothing wrong with me and loves being my friend. I get mad that he didn't let know he was already atteached (that would have been the decent thing to do...) and knows fully well that I liked him. Then he tells me he is sorry and didn't know I was interested since I didn't say anything (even though I told him I wanted to be more than friends). He then tells me for now he is with someone and he likes hanging with me as friends.

NOW, I would think that since he is "madly in love" with this girl he wouldn't be telling me that "for now" he is with someone.

Whats this guys deal? Did he get tired of trying to get in my pants? There were LOADS of times where he wanted me to stay over at his house (yes we are of age), but I refused.

The day before Halloween, I received a text saying "Angel you have a beautiful face and I would like to touch it." Well I thougth the text was from some one else. So I texted come see me Halloween night to check out my bad side. I was just joking around my husband knew about the text and that I text back.
Well It turned out not to be who I thought it was. Its a man from CA. He has been in the states for two years prior to that he was raised in Nigieria. He said it was Mystic that he got my number by mistake. I told him I was married and would not be messing around. We live miles and miles apart anyway. So he ? if we could msg on My Space. So I got his my space first and checked it out and know we talke every night.
Mostly about different traditions, work, and what happen during R days. My husband thinks he wants something from me but we live miles apart. I think he is knew to the states and just want someone to converse with. My husband/son r watching TV so is it wrong?
