why does it seem it is worse when it is the girl cheating people?

i think it is worse for a girl to cheat anytime i see it in a movie or anything it gets to me it just seems like a more severe thing is happening when i woman cheats do girls feel the same way towards guys or what

It's because societally you expect it from men and abhor it in women. That line of thinking is dying, but it's dying slowly. The truth is, it sucks either way.

its sexism....why is that so hard for you to see? there is no reason except that men are associated with having stronger sexual desire and so when they cheat ppl arent as surprised by it. Sex is associated with "becoming a man"....its seen as healthy and "understandable". But women are meant to be all angelic and innocent. The innocent side of it means that she is treated worse when she makes the same mistake.
Im glad u have the insight to know ur own resposes are uneven. Well done! It is wrong to preside as judge and jury over others especially when stereotypes like this are in place, affecting our judgement and ability to think clearly and logically and not clouded by personal preference.#
The way u feel has nothing to do with it, the fact is cheating is wrong and there should not be one rule for one but not the other. Do not let ur feelings guide you, use ur mind or u will become one of those awful blokes women hate becuase they cant see past their own sexism. I think its bad no matter what sex u may be, and that it makes no difference. A more severe thing is NOT happening....unless you are saying that a guys hurt feelings matter more than a girls?

Grow up! It's painful for the other person regardless of what sex they are. If you really feel this way you have been born out of your time and should have arrived on the planet 60+ years ago at least when women did what they were told by their husband after they left the draconian rules of their father.
There are places and cultures in the world where this attitude still exists I'm sure, but I would think they don't have electricity let alone Yahoo Answers!
