Singles & Dating - 18 March 2007

I was dating my ex for about 4 and a half years. We went our separate ways about two years ago. I dumped him, he begged for me to come back. Finally I did but it was too late. About six months after we broke up I moved on and I am very happy in my current relationship.
I talk to my ex once every few months and we usually get together over drinks and catch up.
This past time he told me his girlfriend (that he met and started dating about three months after we broke up) is pregnant! I am very happy for them, but I still feel some sort of jealousy even though the feelings I have for him are on a friendship level only. Is that normal?

Statistically, Mom's new boyfriend is most likely to be the molestor if the kids get molested. Conversely, innocent guys sometimes get their reputations besmirched by a kid falsely accusing him of abuse because the kid wants the boyfriend out of the picture. Plus it's hard to build a new relationship with the ex is trying to cause problems. You don't want the kids feeling neglected or slighted but, on the other hand, you can't just stay celibate until the youngest turns 18, can you? What's your viewpoint?

we always spoke abt our problems to 1 another. Often i was the 1 who upset her and it was the smallest of things... we managed to solve the problem but she said she hated me without telling me the reason why and she said she love me at the same time too... is she having mixed emotions? i really dun wan to be hated by her.

Ive meet this lovely girl whilst attending a job ( policeman). She is absolutely gorgeous and I really can't believe my luck..She tried to get hold me at work. and finally left me an email..saying that she really enjoyed talking and to phone or text her....I don't want to try to hard and I have said that there is no pressure, she texted " dont be silly, im not making excuses! 3 pregnant ladies (2 brunettes, 1 blonde) go to see their doctor b/c they are going to find out the sex of their babies.

The doctor calls one brunette lady into his office from the waiting room, and asks her, "Were you on top or the bottom during conception?"

She says "Top," to which he replies, "Then you're having a girl."

The other brunette gets called in and is asked the same question.

She says, "Bottom," and the doctor tells her,"then it's going to be a boy."

The blonde is curious as to how these girls are finding out so fast because they were in and out of the office in just minutes.

The girls tell her, "the position you were in when you got pregnant determines what kind of baby you'll have. if you were on top, you'll have a girl, if you were on the bottom, you having a boy."

At that point, tears fill her eyes and she starts to head for the door.

The girls ask, "What's Wrong?"

she used to be part of my life some time back,we did apart some reason due to her way of life.....after some years she came back into my life, she was a new person since i didnt see her acing life she used to be....after a whiles i started to see her back to her old way of life again, i want do away with her for good but when ever i try to some thing comes along and she still gets back inot my life, my best number of days i have been able to do away with was 7days when some thing came up and i had to go and see her.Right now i was to just forget about her FOREVER. but its very hard so i want to how best i can get her off my head and in my life Once and 4ever!!!...Help.

I am so sick of reading profile after profile and seeing the same stuff in almost every one. It seems like all these men lilke to ride their harley. It is a major turnoff to me. I could understand if these guys were teenagers or young men but I think men in their 50's look ridiculous posing next to their motorcycle. Who cares. At their age they need to be taking care of themselves and not risking their lives on a motorcycle. My city has a high number of motorcycle fatalities. It seems like in every accident, the person in the car isn't hurt but the person on the motorcycle is killed. As a 40 year old woman, I would hope that my boyfriend or husband would be a little more responsible and not take such risks. Every time I come across a profile that interest me, I click on the pictures, and there is a picture of them with a motorcycle, instand turn off for me. I don't see that many motorcycles on the road, whats with this obsession with the guys on the dating sites?

I am a very shallow person and I always tend to go for looks rather than anything else. I am very picky when it comes to going out with girls. Ok I like a nice voice, good presence, when girls are sweet. Well I treat girls nicely. I'd do anything for a girl but the things is I can't overcome my shallowness and when I see a pretty girl, I just go for her even if I have a girlfriend at a time. Now other people started to notice this in me and I don't know what to do. Am I only searching for perfection or am I just confused or simply SHALLOW.

It was a great date, we had a really good time, and I look forward to seeing him again. He told me how great I was, how much he liked me, and couldnt wait to get to know me.... he would call at such and such a time and make plans to take me out next week..........and thats the last I see of him. Why do men do this?? Why cant they just leave it at I had a great time?

Ok we lost track after HS but got re-acquainted in college. He takes me out to this bar back in Nov. While we're drinking he confides in me and some friends of his from workabout how much he liked me since HS, and how he would ask his older sister about advice. During this, he told me that he talks about me to his sister. He actually called her to prove to me that she still remembered me. After our night out, we didn't go out again because of our busy work/school schedules. Ok, fast forward to Feb. We go out to a restaurat and afterwards go back to his place. No funny business all night. The next day he kisses me and we fool around some. I kept trying to go home, but he begged me to stay. I stayed @ his house til about 5pm before he finally let me leave. After that day, he doesn't return my calls. I've called, texted everything. I ran into him last week and he looked shocked and just said "oh hey" I don't know what to make of all this. I feel like such a fool.
