ok, the younger brother's girl seems to be either his girlfriend or someone who is close to being one. I know the family well, as a friend. They have always treated me very well, as if I'm their own daughter. My friend, the guy, invited me over for dinner. Oh, we ended up playing mahjong, and later danced, as the two couples.

Well, if the other girl is a girlfriend, I think your friend is trying to tell you something. I would feel good to know I was included in a family gathering. Not sure how you feel about him but if you like him it sounds like you are on your way to a relationship more than just friends. Not enough info to assume.

Guys like to double with guys they are close to. They also LOVE it when the girlfriends are friends because we can push you on each other easier. Think about it...
If you become friends with the brothers girlfriend, isnt it easier to tell you that theyre going someplace so just hang out with so- and- so? This way, neither girl will be alone, and both of you can keep each other from nagging us. LOL
Its just a common practice for when the boys wannna be just boys, dont think too much into it.

The guys are afraid they will feel uncomfortable so they picked someone they know well. If it's the first time meeting the rest of the family, it can be awkard so to relieve some of the pressure and tension, they are doing it at the same time.
