Singles & Dating - 16 March 2007

Let me start off my saying I'm 17, a junior in high school.
I'll be introducing my weak side first.
I'm usually not nervous about talking to my friends even though most of them are girls but when they ask me out to a type of dance or prom as friends, I get so hesitant and back off. I just keep saying to myself can I even dance? I can't even explain how nervous I am if I were to ask a girl out or even talking to her, I just think I would hurt her in a way if I even attempt to ask. Usually when I get nervous and being in the "put on the spotlight" situation, I don't take it very well. I just do whatever to get out of that situation as fast as possible.

My stronger side. I'm rank 60 in my entire class out of I think 540. I have a 3.43 academic GPA and plan to go to college. I'm good with computers for the most part and plan to major in computer engineering in college.

I want to have a relationship and all but what can I do to improve myself?

I met this girl a few months ago. She told me that she was tired of the way she was badly treated in her past relation (where he cheated on her, put her through a lot of pain). I decided to give it a shot with her even though was adviced not to by my closest friends. We started dating and she cheated on me a couple of times with the same ex. I always overlooked the scenario and gave her another chance after she apologized for her mistakes. We finally broke up recently and the reason was her ex once again. Am so heart broken and dont know what to do. I know her ex has been making these false promises to her and is saying exactly what she wants to hear. It has messed us up but dont know why but I still tend to miss her. Do u think she will come back. Do u feel that a chance of us getting back together exists. An honest answer is what i need. I kinda sound desperate bout her but its not that way at all. Its not that I cant start dating someone else but that I cant see her hurt again

i was chatting to this guy off the interent, and we echanged number and started chatting on the phone, we spoke every day and we were getting really well and we couldnt get off the phone from each other, we had 8 hours for calls, we met on friday and everything was fine, we spoke for ages, and had a few drinks, and i kissed him and he kissed me back and then he wanted to leave, he called his friend and they drove me home and he kissed me good bye, and i havent heard from him since.........should i called him??.....or send him a txt message??......or leave it and see if he talks to me again??

Well he came to see me twice in my apartment. We are not close at all. His grandmother and my aunt are close friends but since both of them are in their senior yrs and are ill - the two of us (the grandson and I) communicate thru text messages and to check how his grandma is and how my aunt is doing. 1st time he came to my place was to sell me insurance and at the same time to tell me about his life story then proceeded to tell me if I needed anything he'll be more than happy to help even if it was just to talk. 2nd time he came over was to ask me how I was and then he proceeded to tell me more about his life, the way he struggled with it and how he handled everything. He's very friendly and being too open that it's alarming - alarming bec he's got a wife and kids and that 2nd time he visited me was after he got out from work and his visit lasted 'til 10pm. Am I just being paranoid?

my parents have very strict rules about using the phone in the house or use our moblies in th house im not allowed to use either

my bf lives 200 miles away and we have very limited connact at the moment as i have to wait until my parents go out just so i can phone him.

he doesnt have the internet at home so we can talk using IM and skype any ideas we currently send letters and texts and talk maybe once a week on the phone

please im getting deperate i wanna talk to him so much

I think past experiences are recking my trust . I cant seem to get over it .why ? being cheated on ,seeing others cheating . I see it as rejection. It breaks my heart to see infidelity anywhere.as far as i know hes never cheated on anyone.

There's a boy in my class and I fancy him. The problem is: He knows that and now has changed his behaviour. K I moved from Edmonton to Brampton to be closer to J.C then just a few minuets ago I got a call from my ex. He says he loves me and wants me back an that. The fact is I dont love him anymore and I want to spend my life with J.C. But yet Im confused about this whole thing. What should I do? Should I tell J.C and let J.C handle it? I've had one date. There's only a small handful of females my age I can actually have a good conversation with (coworkers and a couple at school). They are all either taken or not into me. I can't have a normal conversation with people I just met because I get quite nervouse and stutter. Only when I'm forced to be around people do I get comfortable with them. How do I get over this and meet girls. I've only been on one date and it was odd because she was HOT and totally into me one second, then just wanting to be friends the next. (another guy got her pregnant b4 we went out, and she found out)

We were together for 5 years. He was very controlling and when I let him move in with me things really got bad. I begged him to move out, possibly things might go bad to being good if he did. But he would not budge, I believe, because it was not his idea (seriously). Finally things got so bad that he just up and split without saying a word. He's been gone nearly a year and, although I knew of his whereabouts from mutual friends, I have avoided him like the plague. Now a friend tells me that he requested my phone number from her. She would not give it to him without first consulting me. What should I do?
