Singles & Dating - 14 March 2007

My boyfriend and I have different styles arguing: He tends to shut down and leave and I tend to want to duke things out, kiss, and make-up on the spot. When he leaves, I take it personally, like he's walking out on me and not simply an overwhelming situation.

Driving him crazy drives me crazy and I don't know how to stop. It's been a tough year and a half for my body, and he's been around for a year. I've been at odds with my immune system and bad eczema. I've been to the doctor more this year than the past...I don't know...5+ years of my life.

This has had a tremendous negative effect on my self-image. And my boyfriend tries to assure me I'm beautiful, but sometimes I still feel awful, which makes him feel bad/useless, which makes me feel worse...it's a cycle. Usually after a good night's sleep and some cool-down we're fine, but I'm so insecure nowadays I'm afraid I'm slowly making him hate me. How can I improve my self-image and not make him always feel like his words are wasted?

Tonight, he was on his cell phone in front of the store. I was getting into my truck. He threw up his arm to wave. I waved back, but just got in the truck! Then he turned left and walked in front of the store...away from me.


Did I do right? I don't interrupt ppl on the phone, but I also don't like to be the only one who makes the effort.

He acts like he likes me, but he doesn't make enough effort that way in my opinion!

So I'm 15 and on my schools Formal Dance my girlfriend said she was tired and wanted to go home, so she went home and a went to one of my friends parties. My friend lives on my street but goes to a private school, so I don't know her friends. Anyways, at the party, me and one of her friends hit it off and decided to go back to my house cause my parents leave the last weekend of everyone month for two days.

So all alone at my house, we ended up having sex. It was random and i wasn't expecting it, but we both wanted to so we did. Wow, she just completely blows my gf out of the water. It was so good that I hardly even want to have sex with my gf anymore. Now I'm torn between my relationship, and having sex with the new girl, who comes over to my neighbor's house a lot and wants to hang out with me. help!

Well as far as being in a relationship goes, I really have no interest in the new girl. It's completely sexual. As for my gf, i want to stay with her and SHE DOESNT KNOW I CHEATED

I dated a girl for a year who I honestly thought was my "one". We were very close friends for a long while before we started dating, and were both very comfortable with each other during the relationship. After a year, she decided she felt I wasn't the "one" for her. Totally wrecked me.

About four months after this, as I'm still bumming, but coming out the other side of those feelings, my best friend asks me if I mind if he and the ex (Who I maintained a friendship with) go out. I love him, and I love the girl, but what an absolutely hellish situation to be put in!

I personally feel that he should have known better than to even ask, he should have presumed from the start that she was off limits. Barring that, she should have known better (remember, we stayed good friends) than to let this become a possibility. I gave him my blessing, but I've never totally gotten over his audacity in that moment. I feel I should have told him to jump off a cliff.

What would you have done?

my best friend had a huge crush on me and he admitted it to me and cause the feeling was mutual i said yes to going out with him in secret cause he dint want to tell his friends and i wasnt quite sure what he was upto cause there is this other girl at work that absolutely adores him and waits on him hand n foot and but it dint bug me cause i knew he liked me and i wasnt ready to make a huge announcement at work as yet . but what annoys me is my best friend dumped me on years eve wont give me a reason why and i tried to talk to him but he refuses to come to the table and talk and cause i am his boss at work i have to be very professional but hes been really trying to push my buttons by hanging out with this girl that i mentioned earlier who he said he hated in the first place , he also specifically approaches my friends to tell them hes dating a really cute 18 year old arrrrrh what should i do apart from ignoring the antics.

O.k so my boyfriend has a bad temper for ex. if he can't find what he's looking for he starts kicking stuff and yelling at everybody, just a few min. ago I was at his house helping him sort and fold his clothes cuz he had just came back from the laundromat then I told him one of his sweaters had shrunk..omg he started yelling at me like it was my fault or something, then he started kicking his dresser and telling me to gtf out of his house!what is his problem! Any advice?

this may not apply to everyone. I live in the suburbs where not surprisingly the christian community is about 98% of all living forms around here.

when someone asks me "are you christian" i simply go "no , i am not religious"
they look at me like i have blood on my hands. and it disappoints me to see a beautiful independent woman judging my morals and character based on a simple answer and question.

We seem ot be getting close to sex... He even tells me that he is 50/50 on the issue and that most of him is saying yes but he has always grown up with the wait for marriage pushed down his throat!! If he says ok let's go should I go with the flow or make sure he is not just doing this to please me? I have been with my fiance for nearly two yrs.Five months back he cheated on me by having a fling relationship with my colleague for two months.I discovered it through opening his email and they stopped the flirting just after that but i still broke up with him.
I confronted my fiance why he has cheated.If it is abt me or the relationship that he is not happy abt.He said that I am a perfect partner and it was his fault.He cant give me a reason apart frm saying that "it just happened".The girl spoke to me telling that it was all just a game and that she denied having feelings for my guy.She knows that my guy loves me so she begged me to accept him back.My fiance confirmed that they didnt even touch each other and he has no feelings at all.It was just flirting by txting/calling.
We got bk 2gether aftr 1 month but until now I cant help but to doubt on him though there are no longer signs of him cheating. I can see that he has changed but still am paranoid.how 2 know if he is faithful?

After 3 months that i left from my country friend send me message that she fall in love with my bf then after 4 days she told me that she and my bf are already lovers.then i ask my bf at first he denied but later he said thats true but according to him he is not serious with that girl becauce the girl is near with any boys or i can say she's a flirty type of girl and the girl knows from the beginning that i am the gf of that boy.Right after i know i end up my commitment with the boy and then next day their relationship also finished it was the boy who end up the relationship with that girl.The boy was eager to get me again and also the girl ask me forgiveness and another chance for the boy because she told me that the boy loves me not her although i convince myself to believe what she said i still can't because im far from them they're in asia and im here in middle east but i forgive them already for what they have done to me.By the way he's my first bf at age 23and we're on for 1 year

What kind of man would do this sort of thing? What would he get out of trying to harrass and bully a woman who wont give him the time of day? Is this man sick? Ive never known a man to resort to such low ways, he makes all other 'jerk' types look sane. If a person cares for another they wouldnt try to hurt them would they? Or is this some kind of revenge? Its like a man , a very unnatractive incompetent man trying to 'bully' someone who is much better than they are and a woman. Whats the motive in this?

There is a girl in my Anatomy class that I have had my eye on for a long time. I find her extrememly atracitive.
The simple fact though is that I have never talked to this girl once. I dont know if i am afraid or what.

it seems like everywhere i go and everything i hear when it comes to a man they seem to always feel the need to talk about their thing . jokes they crack at work, most guys i meet eventually bring this subject up. things i see on tv. sooner or later before any conversatio is over they feel the need to bring up again about their thing. i cant write exactly what i want to say cuz yahoo wil erase it. do men really think that women are always interested in this. its a pain. its irritating. then when they are not talking about that , they then start talking about kissing, and then if i say my back hurt, which it really does, guys automatically volunteer the massage. a real man wouldnt make a statemen like that. they would say have you gone to see a doctor, or how bad is your back. what is wrong with guys these days? who cares about their thing. they are the only ones crazy and absessed over it. so i wish they would stop. there are women out there who want a normal conversation. ty.
