why does he refuse to talk to me?

my best friend had a huge crush on me and he admitted it to me and cause the feeling was mutual i said yes to going out with him in secret cause he dint want to tell his friends and i wasnt quite sure what he was upto cause there is this other girl at work that absolutely adores him and waits on him hand n foot and but it dint bug me cause i knew he liked me and i wasnt ready to make a huge announcement at work as yet . but what annoys me is my best friend dumped me on years eve wont give me a reason why and i tried to talk to him but he refuses to come to the table and talk and cause i am his boss at work i have to be very professional but hes been really trying to push my buttons by hanging out with this girl that i mentioned earlier who he said he hated in the first place , he also specifically approaches my friends to tell them hes dating a really cute 18 year old arrrrrh what should i do apart from ignoring the antics.

There is more to that story then your letting on. Ether you really don't know the reason why he dumped you or your not telling. Sad thing to have happen one way or another, just curious why you would mix your business life and personal life thats never a good deal. Of course would of been worth it for a best friend but I question how much of a best friend he was. Seems he really just had some secert motives to why he stay'd friends with you, which was most likly just to get a chance to date you, and with that failing his expectations he doesn't see no reason to be your friend anymore. But thats just my opioin from what you've wrote. Your the one who has to make a call on that. Just troubles me that he would do that to you (which is pretty vindictive) and not give you a reason. Thats pretty petty, then for him to talk to your friends about that is even more junior highish. So the reasons he doesn't talk to you are proubly pretty immuture. So do you really want to know? Good thing is it doesn't seem you really lost much of a friend there.
