Singles & Dating - 21 February 2007

My boyfriend and I just started dating and he broke up with his ex about two weeks ago. Now, she still pretends like they are still dating like she calls him up and messages him saying how much she loves him and cant wait to him next (they live a couple states away) and hes told her that their relationship is over but shes just avoiding it and pretending nothings happened. I think its because hes a really nice guy and the guy she dated before him was very abusive so shes kind of doesnt want to let him go and is the "obedient" type. I dont know what to do, because even if I mention to her that we are dating, she'll probably avoid that too. How can I/he get it through her thick skull?

Lately I've been doing something that I swore I wouldn't ever do: messing around with a guy without first being in a relationship. We're not having sex, but there have been a few "sleepovers" in which we do fool around a bit.

We have a lot of mutual friends and they all tell me that he's interested in dating me, but has trouble trusting women because his fiance cheated on him. It's been 5 years and he still hasn't gotten involved with any other women. He's been on a few first dates, but no seconds. He told one of my best friends the other night that he wishes he could trust women because he really would like to get back into a relationship.

What do you think about the situation? Am I just setting myself up to be hurt because he isn't ready to start dating again? How can I get to the first date with him?

I know that it's going to take him quite a bit of time to open up, but I'm willing to wait a while for him.

I have slept with both of my roomies (i know i know). One of them was just like a 2 months summer fling before i even moved in and now we are cool like nothing even happened. It wasn't until recently when i slept with my other roommate we told girl #1 and we all had a good laugh about it. This past weekend it happened again prob like 3rd time and now I cant stop thinking about her! During the whole time she would always say I'm not like Girl #1 she has this better than me this and that and I tell her i don't care about Girl1 Now I like girl2 and don't know what to do. She is acting a little bit differently as well, or maybe its my ego, but she is acting shy around me, always trying to impress me I guess you could say, just a bit more talkative and friendlier. Do you think she is waiting for me to make a move or do you think I am over thinking this? What should I do here! I think we would be awesome for each other but she always thinking that she isnt as good as girl1 and so why her?

I am 23 and my girlfriend is 34. She has a 70,000 pound a year job as a lawyer which in a few months will become 300,000. I am a primary school teacher.The problem is I never see her.She works 16 hours a day seven days a week.I'm worried for her health and our relationship. I have spoken to her about this and she says"Don't complain if I didn't work long hours you wouldn't have a ferrari in the drive!" I would prefer we lived in low cost housing and she was a cleaner if I got to see more of her. What can I do? I got my peircing last thursday I was told by the guy who did it to wash my hands before touching it and not ot play with it to much both of which I have been good on. But he also said to use triple anti- ointment and I was told by a friend of mine to use bactine because the ointment just seals the infection. well I have been using the bactine and its going red what else should I do? I don't want it to get badly infected.
Also I know your not supposed to take it out but I would like to for a minute so I can clean the whole thing, but when the guy put it on he tightend it really hard not hurting me just twisting hard on the ring But now the the top wont come off. am I not trying hard enough or is this a problem.


Which way are you supposed to turn it and it is supposed to come off easy. I don't want to hurt myself or the peircing?

Please give you opinion on both if you can

Yesterday i wrote a poem to give to my one friend that i been talking to on here. and he miss understood the poem. he said that im a silly silly girl. and he thinks im in love with him and im not in love with him. Like i said we are just friends. And the poem was just something cute to give him just to show I care. But then he said the only thing that i wanted is you to come and visit me have sex and then you leave. My question is how insensitive is he. First he miss interprets the poem then he tells me the only thing he wanted me to do is visit him, have sex with me, show me around and then I would leave. Do you think what he said was wrong?

I met an amazing woman recently. We really clicked and went out again. Then she totally busted my head when she said she could never get serious with me because I didn't believe in God!

She's not some religious nut, she just really believes in God and wants to marry someone who feels the same. I am stunned because to me I felt we had so many other things going for us that didn't seem to be of concern but it totally wrenched any plans of a third date, if anything ever more.

What do you make of this situation? Can you share any experiences or insights into the matter? I told her I'd not call her any more but if she ever decided she wanted to see me, she could call.
