its a promise ring the promise is to love that person without infidelity the promise usually lasts for about 2 yrs then if all is going well then comes the engagement ring which is the promise of marriage if all is still well then comes the wedding ring which is the promise of love for a lifetime all are supposed to be worn on the left hand ring finger because this finger is supposed to be linked with the heart

Really does it matter what finger she wears it on? She made the promise, right...it's not any less of a promise because she wears it on the wrong hand.
Sometimes I don't wear my wedding band...that doesn't mean I am no longer making my promise.
