A jewel box of obsidian holds God's brightest star of light,
But on this Earth, all hope for her to shine on me is gone.
In time that I might see such light in lives on worlds beyond,
A million suns would flare to life, then fade to endless night.


There IS a reference to her skin color there. I don't think I could ever say it in a better way: it's beautiful, yet explicitly external and secondary -- it holds a bright star, which is her soul.

I know SHE won't be angry, because she grew up in Africa and she doesn't have all the cultural baggage we have on THIS continent.
Just wondered how the rest of you would feel.


(Please don't think the "star" part is racist -- if you took it that way, then do realize that it would have to be an Asian supremacist poem, because our sun happens to be yellowish and not totally white. And please don't lecture me on how obsidian is "too" dark: you haven't seen HER!)

My ex-boyfriend came over this morning, walked into my home, I had just gotten home and didn't lock the door behind me. My fiancee is very conservative and private. He is in Iraq. My ex-boyfriend held me down, bruising me and sexually assaulted me. He was here for 2 hours and would not leave or leave me alone. My friend called the police when I acted like I was looking for a number for a job for him (my ex) and texted her "911". I don't want to cause my fiancee worry, since there is nothing he could do from overseas. He left before the police showed up and was totally drunk. I hate to keep secrets but I don't want to hurt my fiancee.

Harold is 95 years old and lives in a senior citizen center. Every night after dinner he goes to a secluded garden behind the center to sit and ponder his accomplishments and long life.

One evening, Mildred, age 87, wanders into the garden. They begin to chat, and before they know it, several hours have passed. After a short lull in their conversation Harold turns to Mildred and asks, "Do you know what I miss most of all?"

She asks, "What?"
"Sex!" he replies.

Mildred exclaims, "Why you old coot, you couldn't get it up if I held a gun to your head!"

"I know," Harold says, "but it would be nice if a woman could just hold it for a while."

"Well, I can oblige," says Mildred, who unzips his trousers, removes his manhood and proceeds to hold it. Afterward, they agree to meet secretly each night in the garden where they would sit and talk and Mildred would hold Harold's manhood.

Then, one night, Harold didn't show up at their usual meeting place. Alarmed, Mildred decided to find Harold and make sure he was O.K. She walked around the senior citizen home where she found him sitting by the pool with another female resident, Ethel, who was holding Harold’s manhood.

Furious, Mildred yelled, "You two-timing creep! What does Ethel have that I don't have?"

Old Harold smiled happily and replied, "Parkinson's."

This guy that I've been talking to on the phone for about of week now seems interested in me but whe haven't had a lengthy conversation since last Wednesday. He'll call me in the morning to hear my voice and wish me a good day at work. Ok today he called me from another and he was like you didn;t know who I was did you and he laughed? I asked him where was he at and he told me that he was coming from his dad's house. He told me that was his other number. So I called him a playah and we both laughed and he told me to save this number in my cell phone too. I really couldn't talk because I was still at work. So I tried calling him back but he didn;t answer which is cool. Maybe I'm being too paranoid but why I didn't get this number day 1? And is this a sign of a playa.

BTW - We know each other through mutual friends. He has seen me several times and I don't recall seeing him though,
