I have a great idea, you should get him some perfume or colone, like Body, Jordan, and others. That would be a perfect suggestions for this kind of emergency.

Don't spend money on him, just do something low key. You don't have to out buy him stuff from last year, just buy him something simple that he needs.. He's lucky to have a gf buying him stuff, so he should be grateful already..
