Try getting some of his codes or names he uses and look at his internet of sites he been on lately.

Yahoo messenger and MySpace have the show when online option. If he is on, it will show up there, unless he has it turned off.
Does he tell you he isn't online? If he says he is not, then trust him. If you can't trust him, then you shouldn't be with him.
If he lies, you will know, because if he does have a MySpace, and if he sends comments to people, you will see that on their sites.
