Well, it kind of changes the longer you are together so it becomes less about how he sees you and more about how he feels about you. But that doesn't mean its not worth hotting up for him. I go with surprise underwear every now and then or cute night dresses. Also naughty texts through the day can have a great effect once you get home.
But you do have to work at it, it doesn't just happen especially after several years. Its worth it though!

try staying really physically attractive. beauty fade so am afraid if you have based your relationship on physical attraction then he would look for the next pretty thing when yours is gone. but am sure there are other things about you that he is attracted to, your person, humour, wit. right?
