Why not? What's the problem? Unless you are talking about the age difference. SO WHAT? You are both adults, right? What if he is THE ONE and you let him get away? Would that be better?

Amaris,
At 18, they say it's considered an Adult, so you can just follow-your-heart on this one! You should go out as Friends and see "where it goes", as a suggestion.
What you posted is a good start, that the man is good friends with your family---------- it's a PLUS!
I always say, and I have posted many times that I don't feel that age matters, as long as one "party" isn't under age, then I'd question it, but, ALSO, if the both of you are mature, there isn't a thing wrong with developing a romance. It's how you get along, have the same interests, and, ABOVE ALL, like each other is what matters!

the only answer you need is the one that is inside you. Only you know for sure what is right for you. Anyone on here can tell you to do what makes you happy or to not date this guy cause he is too old for you or something but that is just their opinion. You shouldn't go by a strangers thoughts but rather by what you think and feel. In the end if you follow your heart then you can't go wrong. Good luck to you!

You're too young for a real friendship with a 30 year old, so either bang him like he wants or forget about him.
You're a generation apart in age. What could you possibly have in common to be friends with him? As you get older, you'll understand men better.

Haha. If you pursue, he is going to bang the crap out of you and that is basically that. If thats what you want, more power to you. No way he risks the shitstorm hanging out in public with an 18 year old, though. Blame R. Kelly. Perhaps you are just enfatuated by his popularity and the way people look up to him?

Well I really don't think that you should pursue a relationship with this guy, I mean what do you two really have in common? But who am I to judge you or tell you who to date? If you really like or love this guy and you know that he wants to be with you go for it. Do whats in your heart.

go fo it, as the years go by and you both get older the difference in age will won't seem very big. You will enjoy the company of a mature man and he will enjoy his young female companion

What does he like about you besides the physical? If he really liked you he wouldn't try to take advantage of you because of your age.
