A guy I'm kind of seeing has 2 other roommates, both single guys (but in established relationships) and both of which act really awkward around me because I'm preparing to divorce my husband. The last few boyfriend's I've had--their roommates have either avoided me or hated me immensely. I realize they're awkward because of my current marital status, but I'm scared about my past experiences and they've been friends with this guy since early highschool. I don't want to come between any of them, I want to be able to hang out with them and have fun!

How can I make friends with his roommates so that they don't loathe my presence, like others have before me? Is it like this with everyone's roommates? I'm generally a shy person and before I was always scared to talk to them. Should I be outgoing with them and attempt conversation?

I'm a nice person and I'm sure if they got to know me, they'd be cool with hanging out with me....I just don't know how to go about it!

I met this guy online and i realllly like him. he lives in the same town as my granparents do but i on ly go there 4 2 weeks every summer. I just had a final conversation with my boyfriend and he said all he can offer me is friendship at this point. We knew each other 6 years ago and dated then. We found each other again during the summer of 2006. He moved to my city, but now we are at the current situation. I waited 6 months for him to change and yet he didn't. Theres this man i like and if we are in conversation he smiles and jokes,teases me. But if we are across the room from eachother he looks at me but with no smile. There was this one time and he looked at me and i was looking at him. We both looked away and then we looked back at eachother. Another time we were passing eachother and i looked up and he was looking at me kinda intensely(no smile)and when i looked back he didn't look away straight away. I have been seeing this man for a few months, and he has asked me to move away with him, but I recently found out that he has female friends he emails and was at a hospital with one recently who had tried to commit suicide. She happened to be about 12 years younger than him and also blonde, his favourite type. He met her on the internet and insists that they are just friends. He also often has talked about his ex and how great she was. I can't decide if he is just a nice guy or there is something more sinsiter going on. Am I blinded by wanting to believe he is telling the truth and is only wanting to be with me? I just am not sure and would like to hear opinions from people who may have experienced similar situations. I don't want to go away and live with him if he is not on the level. What do you think?

Ok, so maybe this is petty, but I'm frustrated. I'm moving to Texas (from Illinois) on Thursday. However, I don't have mattresses. So I was looking through the local paper, and I found a NEW set for $110. I called my boyfriend and told him about the situation, but that the seller would only be able to hold it if someone went to pay it before the delivery date. So I asked nicely if my boyfriend would do it for me and I would pay him back immediately. He tells me that he wouldn't mind doing it, but when is he ever going to find the time? He has class from such and such time, and then goes home. Boo hoo. Well, here I am working 80 hours a week, moving to be closer to him, spending all this time and money doing so, and he can't do the ONE thing I ask? He didn't even have to pick it up or anything... what gives? Am I wrong to be frustrated with him?

Well , I am a single father who used to be a kindergarten teacher and now I am in flight school to become a pilot. I am a single father of a young boy who is two. I am 25 and haven't dated in a year.
