It depends. Some people are better at hiding things than others...and some people are better at ignoring red flags than others.
Sometimes the signs are in front of us for months or years, but we choose not to see them. Sometimes we actively search for signs but cannot find them (even if there is an issue being hidden).
Acting like someone you are not tends to be exhausting though, and most "actors" mess up eventually.

We usually never see there true colors until it is too late. Please do not worry about his new gf. We cannot stop her from getting hurt, but we do need to let go and move on. She will probably never see straight until the rose color glasses are slapped off or a true friend see what is happening and has a little chat with her.
Just hope a your ex's gf has a friend that will see through him first and will be brave enough to tell her. ( and move on with your life, your ex is not worth holding back on a great future)

With some people it is not for a long time. People can be deceiving and manipulative. My uncle dated and married a lady who told him on their honeymoon "I am not who you think I am and if you do not like it you can divorce me" Some people are blinded by love and do not see it until after the relationship is over.

It took me a couple of months to start seeing the true colors. The first couple of months are the honeymoon period. If you can get past that and like the person they are, then it is somehting to keep. If not, then let it go.

If you really see "true colors" and love someone, you never see the evil.
There is no time limit to fall out of love.

Depends how blind she is. There is a saying, "it is sad to have eyesight and yet not be able to see"....Anyway you should not be occupying your time with such matters. Who cares, be happy you got rid of him.
