Let me start by saying I have the loveliest boyfriend in the world. It's a long-distance relationship but we talk every day, he's really committed and I haven't been this happy in ages.

The problem is I've started looking at this guy at school. I don't know anything about him, he's only ever said one word to me, but I just love the way he looks and I keep finding myself staring at him whenever I see him...

How can I stop? I don't even like this guy, he's not very nice and I don't even want to talk to him. I just have a thing about him because of his looks. I love my boyfriend to bits, how can I stop myself staring at this other guy? It's just a habit now!

Please don't tell me to ask him out or anything; I need some proper advice here...

I just got a rejection message from a man whom I sent a message to on an online dating service. I knew i didn't meet his height, income, and college requirements but everything else seems to be ok and after all I am always being told not to judge people on those things so I would think a man should do the same. I got a no thanks reply, we are not compatible although we had alot in common as far as values and being divorced parents and all. I left him a thank you response and mentioned that I guess I didn't meet his height, income, college requirements and that I thought he was being shallow. He sent me a message back saying I was crude and rude and he had made the right decision in not being interested in me. what was so rude about it? I just think he is being shallow.

I am african American and my girl friend is hispanic. We have been dating about 6 months. We are equally yoked, and see a long future in our relationship. Her parents don't approve of her dating me. They would like for her to stay within her race or date a white guy. They have a poor image of blacks. My family is all college educated and have good careers. It gets old always having to prove yourself to be a good person just because of race.
I don't mind reaching out to them because I'm in love with their daughter, but they need to let go of the steroetypes.

My BF of 1 1/2 years, all over sudden wants me to be more independent, he wants me to let him go out until early in the morning 7a.m. & not go through his stuff. He tells me I am too emotional & that it stresses him out. He says that he cant stand me when I'm complaining, but then he appologisez quick saying he didnt mean that. He says he loves me but he doesnt act like it, he tells me its my fault for the way he is. I dont understand that if I am so terrible why doesnt he just leave? He slapped me in my face twice witha open hand & the second time I had a bloody nose, I cryed & he said that crying just pisses him off and he has no sympathy so if I want him to like me I best stop crying. I can never be mad or ask anything from him the relationship has to be on his turns. I put him out last night after he left again, just so that he could come back in the house (I have no phone to call 911) & he slept in the bed & he said to hug him why for what? Why doesnt he want to leave? I love him.

My boyfriend and I have been together for 6 months and I love him to bits. He has a 5 year old daughter to another woman and gets access to her 3 or 4 times a week. For some reason I've been avoiding having to properly meet her and only see him on the days he doesnt have her, I just feel awkward about the whole thing, incase she doesnt like me or she asks me questions that I can answer. How do you get over someone who was not great to you in the first place . He was horrible to me , very emotional draining relationship, He always said he was my friend , but how do you treat your friend like a prostitute and the get worked up when they dont want to be with you or be your friend. I truelly cared about him and deep down thought he was a good person . But i am very hurt and very angry and hate him and myself even more for have wasted time on some who so me just as a booty call. I'm not talking about a crush, I had a very intense connection with someone I met at a business conference, unlike anything I've ever experienced. He asked for my phone number and I told him no, out of respect for someone I am dating (though that is ending,) but I did give him my business card, and he asked if he could call me sometime (we live in different states, but there's possibility for travel.) been dating this guy for 2mnths now. sofar, he's been honest, generous with his time and money and has been extremely reliable.. we spend a lot of time together and its great except for a couple of things: he has a quick temper and is always complaining about how mean the world has been to him despite the fact that he's fortunate enough to own properties that he can make a living off of. i always listen to his complaining and when i reach out to touch him, he yells and tells me not to touch him when he's mad.. so now i let him complain till he gets tired. 2)he has a wondering eye, where he stares at every female in a skirt.. i'm very good looking, so it makes me wonder how he could look at other females when he's with me..he talks about how cute this and that woman is and when i see someone attractive on tv or something he criticizes me and blows everything out of proportion.. well at least i don't stare at every man walking past! when i confronted him, he said his reply was.. you haven't even given me any sex and you're complaining about me staring at other women? then last night hetold me that i shouldn't get too attached to him and he's not going to get attached to me cuz he's not looking toget hurt. this confused me cuz he calls me almost everyday keeping a tab on me, asks me where i want him to take me, asks me to work with him, asks me to take vacations with him, talks about longterm plans. so what does he mean he doesn't want us to get attached.. his words contradict his actions..i'm thinking of distancing myself. whats up with him?
