Singles & Dating - 5 February 2007

My guy friend is a wonderful person. He would do ANYTHING for me. However, sometimes he will overstay his welcome at my house or want to hang out ALL the time. He wants to date me but I know (for a fact) that we will never date. I am not attracted to him.
But the real issue is, how do I tell him politely that I need space?

We're at college and since he wants to hang out every second, I lose chances to talk to other guys I'm interested in. It's started to really frustrate me. And I don't know how to tell him without sounding like an absolute ******. Can anyone help?

But the problem was that neither of us had the courage to tell one another ' i love you ' until one day another girl managed to steal him from my life,
I know he really cared for me and loved me but i can't/couldn't/won't understand why he suddenly turned to another girl.Everyone blamed me for being too tongue-tied, but then i thought it should be a MAN not a woman who starts all those moves in the game of love.
I cried hard for a night and thought i couldn't live without him. But now i don't even take him as anybody in existence. Does that mean that i can't love anyone constantly? who's wrong - the guy or me?

Two of my friends betrayed me and told my boyfirned I was cheating on him! So naturally he set out to get some proof and filmed me with this other guy! Instead of confronting me about it he decided to play the footage infront of everyone at a party! Everyone stared and me and most laughed at me! I didn't know what to do i justs tood there! Ok, so he's the (stupid) boyfriend who always mention about how not-good looking you are, yet claims he loves you more than anyone else and he doesn't give a damn about other girls even though they're so pretty and **** like that.

Today pissed me off cos he let out, "I used to make fun of faces last time. So this is what I get for all those times for hurting people." Basically he means he gets ME for all those times he poke fun at ugly people. I was so bloody hurt just now. I even walked away from him. He cried, saying he loves me, and swear he'll never say that ever again.

Then we were fine. But now I thought about it again. I feel so stupid... what do you guys think??

All you guys out there, let's say there is a girl you see everyday, pretty. Do you imagine it will be possible to just fall in love with her because there is just something about her that makes you feel very curious about her or makes you drawn to her? But you have never really talked to her before.

Alls me and my girlfriend do now is argue and get mad at each other. We hang up the phone on each other. Then someone me or her will send a text message, call back or send an email and we will get back together again. Is this true love or is this boredom? I have a friend who is a girl, everytime we go out somewhere for fun, i feel i always should be paying and i always do. But as im 16 and i dont have a job (yet!), my money is sure to run out at some point. I know when you have a crush on someone, you will do anything, and spend any amount on her. This is what i have done.

On the holidays, when we first started hanging out, i took her to haagen dazs and had one of those chocolate fondue. It is around 80AUD. Then a few days later, i took her to haagen dazs at her request and we had something else. Now she likes me to take her to haagen dazs, but im trying to keep an eye on my money limit.

How should i tell her, if she wants haagen dazs but i dont have the money for it, and dont feel like spending the huge amount of money with her. Not being selfish, but there are some things i am trying to save for and get personally.

It is a crush but not as simple as that. It all started because he helped me with something and I am grateful to him. Very drawn to him. This semester he is not in any of my classes and I don't run into him that often anymore. Even when we do, we only say hi and sometimes we don't even do that. I think destiny is just not on my side and I think I will never be with him. But I can't accept it. I have been seeing him talk to this girl a lot recently and I feel pain when I see him laughing and smiling with her. I am so tired of trying to run into him so that we can finally talk to each other but I think it will never happen. I want to give up on him and I really feel for him. I think I am just paranoid but I think they will be an item soon. I think he may forget me soon since we don't talk anymore. He did like me last semester but I guess not that much.

How do I get over him? I am lulling into semi depression now. I find it awkward impossible to go up to talk to him actually. help?
