Singles & Dating - 3 February 2007

I opened up my stupid mouth and said that my parents told me I was spending too much time with her, which was a mistake in itself, and she was offended by it. Now she feels that my parents dont want us to be together and that she isnt good enough for me, even though I'm the luckiest guy in the world to be with her...it seems like everytime I see her she becomes sad all of the sudden and I see her being fine when she's not around me...any suggestions...or is this out of reach? I really want to make this work.

I think that the womans movement totally ruined what a family is. I am a very independant woman now, self employed, raised my children mostly on my own (divorced for a long time)....I enjoyed staying home and taking care of my family and letting my hubby go and earn the bacon. Stay at home mothers, wives don't get enough credit for what they are capable of doing for the family unit...they work 24/7 ....working in the home as wife and mother has become a lost art. Do men now-a-days feel that traditional, old fashioned ways are gone with the wind? and would a modern man prefer a traditional, old fashioned wife?

ok i told my friend i liked him. lets call him nick. i gave nick my phone # and he called and told me he liked me. so we both like each other and we r supposed to thioink about if we both want to try dating and i cant make up my mind. i want to date him cause if i ont then i will always wonder what would have hapend, but then i dont want to ruin our friendship. there is this guy that i like and i thought that he likes me back... so i asked him if he does and he said "i dont know". The day before that he tryed to talk with me... he came and sat next to me and we were looking at each others eyes and just smile... well ...we spoke a little and that was it... but i really like him... when i wrote him... i think he was mad at me and he said a couple of time " i cant understand u... u always want to talk with me but when we can u dont say much"... so later when i asked him if he likes me he said " i dont know" and also when i asked him some other questions he said that he in not sure what he wants and we might be together but needs time to think about it...
i know its confuseing but does this "i dont know" thing mean that he does not like me and does not want to hurt me or is he just confused by my actions and really does not know???

What should I give this girl?
Me and this girl have been really close lately, we been hanging in lunch, I have sometimes walked her to class and carry her stuff. She likes football and I am thinking of watching the Super Bowl with her, that is if she accepts me going over to her house. Anyway, I am leaving Miami in about a week from now for either 7 months or a year. Going to Peru, and I really want to give this girl something sweet that shows how much I care about her. I am thinking of writing her a sweet letter and giving her a teddy bear so she can sleep with it at night. I would give this to her at her house because I stopped going to school for now, if not I will visit her at school. Is giving her a letter and a teddy bear a good idea?? If not, please advice in something better.

Every time when his with me...his ALWAYS in a bad mood!!
he says he cares for me..
he says some mean stuff's!..
and his suffered so much in his childhood...his been through sh1t!
and everytime I tell him some good stuff 2 make him feel better he says..''I know u dont care''..''I know that you only feel sorry for me''!
and he said that he is sorry for always being in a bad mood..
but still.....I cant take this anymore...its always trouble,fighting,than we get along...hugs..''kisses''..and than another argument!..
and where not even in a serious relationship!
he was never like this..but I think Im begining 2 know him better.
so the Q is:..is this normal?

How old do you think someone is before they are too old?

I'm 20 yrs old and I'm talking to a 22yr old, a 30 yr old, and a 45 yr old. They're all really great guys and right now we're just talking. I talk to lots of people hell I have a 16 yr old and a 19 yr old talking to me as well. I just want to know how old is too old...heck how young is too young?

bf of three years dumped me and started dating after 4 weeks of breaking up. i tried in our relationship really hard but i'm only human and have made mistakes too. he would always break up with me and i would ask him back and we would get back again. this time he made me move out and has been really mean when i try to talk to him. i don't think he is coming back. he was laughing when i was crying on the phone and called me pathetic. told me mean things that was so degrading. he said he just didn't love me and feel pity for me. but he was laughing like an evil person. i can't believe he changed so fast from the person i loved. i don't know him anymore. i know i haven't done anything to deserve this treatment. i thought i did everything i could to do what he asked me. in the end i guess it wasn't enough. i don't want him back anymore but i want him to regret leaving me. i really do! can you give me suggestions?

I've been with my boyfriend for just about 7 years, and we've lived together for 5 years of that time. I moved in with him when I was 17. We now own a home together, at age 23.

We've been here for a year, and I've been really bummed out most of the time. We have a great relationship, but I'm stuck with this "thats it?" feeling. I feel like I missed out on a lot of "growing up" and I have this strong desire to get my own apartment or something.

The problem is, I don't want to end this relationship. I feel like I just need some independance. I want to know what it's like to live on my own, and not have to answer to anyone.

But I feel so guilty! Like instead of moving forward, I'm going backwards. Especially after we bought a place together.

I just can't help to feel envious of all my friends who are out living on their own, or living with a friend.

Any suggestions/advice??

Okay, So I think i like this guy. i told all my freinds and stuff that I like him, but i'm not soo sure that i do. I think that maybe I am trying to convince myself that i'm over some guy i liked last year, but i'm really not. I sit next to him in one of my classes, and we flirt. we did last year to, but i then asked him out and he said no. He doesn't have a gf and people tell me that he likes me but im scared, i don't know what to do!! I mean, i keep trying to convince myself that i like the other guy, but i don't know. I honestly think that i don't like the guy from last year anymore, but maybe i do. Maybe im just trying to hide my true feelings with this new guy. Me & my Gf had got into a fight for sum stupid reason, and she end up telling she have an 100 reason to breakup with me and also i said i have reasons to breakup with her.

Now i wana knw what are the resons she have tht she was talking about... she has it i know as we fight often.
