Singles & Dating - 27 January 2007

Recently i lost a friend of mine named mark he was murdered over my christmas break when i was home from school he said he still cared for me and we slept together. I was devastated when he was killed we broke up a year ago or so but havesince remained friends and we dated about 15 months total. Now i am back at college and a new semester has begun. I still think of him alot i miss him, however i met someone new in my public relations class he is a cutie pie and nice we are both interested in each other so he asked me on a date i said yes im not sure what will happen between us. I am still in love with mark but hes dead and never coming back plus we were friends and he was a father to be with someone elses baby (they weren't dating anymore), i dont know what i should do please help.

me and this guy started dating and we broke up a year later,then he came back looking for me a year and a half later and now were back together. my problem is this, we are having a long distance relationship and i trust him to the fullest but we barely communicate. see, i know he loves me and he does show it at times but he don't call me as much as he should since its our only way of communicating until i move out there next month. see, he don't know how to make time for everything in his life so i get the end of the stick. see, its been a week since we talked and everytime i call him and ask him is it that he don't wanna be bothered he always say no its not that, its because he been busy.the last time i call him he didn't answer but when i texted him the next day he said he was at work and i told him well call mewhen you get off and thats been since monday, what should i do and what do you think is going on. please give me some honest, truthful, things that you would do answers.

We have been together 6 years. The past 3 months have been hell for me. She tried to break us up a few times but we got back together. For a month now we haven't fought but she will tell me i don't feel like seeing you today. She goes out and usually calls me when she gets home . Tonight i asked her to call at 10 just to say hi. She never called at all, all night. It's 3:00am and i still haven't got a call. When i ask if we're good she says yes and we have good sex still. She calls around 5 times a day and says i love you in the voice mails. If i don't answer she says i wish i would have talked to you and calls a few more times. I asked about marriage and she says she looks forward to it. I bought an engagement ring but now i think i cant ask her. I don't think she misses me anymore. Should i just let us go. We are soul mates and i am sick of fighting to keep us alive. She fought for 6 years while i was a bad BF now should i fight or is it over???

In my current situation a basicly ended a bad relationship. the sex was amazing but beyond that nothing else clicked always argued and never could have a convo at dinner unless it was forced. I just recently moved to oklahoma to get my masters in buisness marketing. But now im finding myself becoming extremely jealous. im always wondering if she is sleepin with any guys or is she in a new relationship. so now im feeling like i made huge mistake and should have stayed with her, but im not sure if its her or the sex im missing. plz help this jealousy is killing me and having a huge toll on my studies. i find myself a lot looking at her my space to find out stuff...how do i deal with this.

What is the longest amount of time you have ever tried to get a girl to like you before she finally came around to like you back?
Or what is the longest time you have ever spent trying to get that one girl you felt you were desperately in love with before finally something happened that made you give up the chase and quit?

I'm asking because I just finished watching Futurama and realized it took Fry like 4 seasons to finally win over Leela and also thought about all those other classic sitcoms which featured situations like this...

...and of course I'm asking because I've been after a girl for 9 months, and while she tolerates some of my romantic advances and gestures from time to time, she still isn't interested in me in anyway except on the platonic friend level.

I am married, 43 years old and I had an affair with a woman 28 years old about a year ago. It didn't last very long, though. We knew it wouldn't work out since I am married and she had a boyfriend. I love her... and she confessed to me that she loved me too. We ended it, but we've always stayed in touch since. We had a couple of 'encounters' the past year, but maintained our status as 'friends' nevertheless. We still talk almost everyday and see each other for lunch or dinner every now and then. Nothing has happened physically between us since July of last year. Now here is my situation: We've had a couple of fights since July and I offered to stay away from her both times but she wouldn't let me go. She claims both times that she didn't want that to happen. I asked if she still loved me and answered NO. Why wouldn't she let me go? Every time I ask her what am I supposed to do, she always replies, "I cannot tell you what to do". Is she just waiting for me to divorce my wife?

ok, i have come to a conclusion that "true love" is a lie. All of it is a myth. Please do not ask me to explain because i will go on 4ever. I do not plan to get married ever. I decide not to have any kids because i do not wanna overpopulated an already over populated planet.... from there, what should i do with females now??? do i:

My boyfriend likes to look at porn. Sometimes and definitely not often or even every week. But i came home from a night away last night and there was a download for some porn. I asked him about it and he said it was cuz i wasnt here with him. Watching porn together is fine with me but im really uncomfortable with him masturbating to other women, you know? long story short,i had this best friend of mine for about 9 years,we became friends in the 6th grade,and ended the friendship as a sophmore in college,like 1 week ago.anyway 9th grade i spilled my guts, told her how i felt about her,i was sincere,i really loved her. but she said no,in a nice way.she jumped from boyfriend to bf, one jerk after another, they hit her, emotionally abandoned her, and only hurt her.i loved her so much and wanted her to be my world. i was her best friend so i got to bring her roses,and take her to movies and dinner,and spend time with her without having to make up excuses as to why.but she could never see how much i wanted her..she broke my heart,it hurt alot and it still does.i just wanted a chance to make her happy,because i can tell it's not a feeling she's used to.i brought up the idea occasionaly as the friendship went on.but still,no.i think mentally,i'm emotionally bankrupt,like i just give up,i believe i wasn't meant to be happy,i did my best & failed

ok so I fell in love with my high school sweetheart in 9th grade and we went out for a year and a half then I had to move 3000 miles away so we broke up because we said the distance was to far but we have always kept touch and always feel like we should be together.
