Singles & Dating - 21 January 2007

Well, my gf and I have been going out for about 2 and a half months and in the beginning our phone conversations ranged from 45mins-2hrs and now they average at about 10 mins and she never seems interested. When we are together we always have a lot of fun and are really close but on the phone she seems like a whole different person... is this normal? am i worrying too much?

In the dating scene, when a girl you really like picks another guy over you and let it go like it isnt a big deal. I dont know if im just mentally fragile or what, but when that happens to me im crushed. This is even with a girl that i've gone on one date with and when i get tossed to the side I get hurt.

Where have all the good men gone? Okay, I just put myself out there and asked this guy that im interested in on a date (yes men, we can do that). And I just got rejected and it hurts so bad, especially since i am really shy when it comes to stuff like this :,(. Basically he said he is in the process of getting back with his ex, who he is still in love with. What is a good way to deal with rejection? I need a little help to deal with this in a healthy way.

i have a friend who met this really nice guy in d net. they started talking n in a week or so he said "i love u". the thing is my friend loves him a lot too. so now they r kinda a couple.however they hav never met face 2 face and hav only exchanged pictures.to top it all, they r far from each other and he's in the military...i'm really concerned for my friend as she has been heartbroken twice and it had a big effect on her...is it possible for their love to grow?

I started talking to a girl last spring. We met through a friend but with school and work we have not gotten a chance to actually meet face to face yet. The thing is we have become very close while talking online and over the phone. We both seem to have feelings for each other and have said "I love you" back and forth a few times.

So with that I would like to do something nice for her for Valentine's Day. I thought sending flowers would let her know how much I care about her. The thing is I'm not sure if red roses are best considering how those are supposed to be a symbol for love and even though I do feel like I love her I don't want to scare her away. Any suggestions would be great. Thank you.

I like this guy in 8th grade but I don't know if he likes me back. He and his friend said that they would go out with me when I got older but I don't know if they were telling the truth or not. Ok, im sixteen years old, and the girl I like is fifteen. She is rather shy but seems to be opening up more often. I am quite sure she likes me from the various signs she gives me. I find 50% of our conversations are awesome. But at times I find myself talking about the same thing, (cuz i cant think of anything else), or something that isn't interesting, or fun to talk about. If it's not that, I just end up saying "hey, what's up, how's ur day?" Things are NOT going bad dont get me wrong. It's just that sometimes I dont have something interesting, or fun to talk about. So I was kind of seeing this guy except every time we were alone we ended up sleeping together. We weren't really "serious" about each other but we got along really well.
He's morman and preparing to go on a mission which having sex could cause him to not be allowed to go. I knew that from the beginning but he always instigated and I figured it was his religion not mine.
He broke up with me recently because he said we couldn't control ourselves around each other. He wasn't even willing to discuss just leaving sex behind.
Was he only in it for sex? My roommate says thats all it was and thats not a big deal. But another close friend of both of us swears there was more to it than that.
I didn't realize how into this guy I was until we broke up and now I'm feeling rather betrayed.
I just want to know if guilt is a valid reason to end a relationship with someone you claim to really care about.
I think I need to know the truth to move on.
What's your opinion?

my girlfriend and i have been dating for 3 years. we have had our ups and downs like any relationship. my girlfriends mother is dying for her to get rid of me. Her mom likes me but i don't think she thinks i good enough for her. my gf grew up dating people who's family were very well off. i'm 3 years older than my gf she will be finishing up college this year & i have just went back to school. her mom is into all that "status" stuff (money, class, education). i love my girlfriend a lot, but i she has sometimes think in same way as her mom. what should i do?
