there is this guy i like at my work but i know nothing about him. he always jokes around and makes silly comments to me but thats all the interaction we have. how do i find out information about him without being obvious? and how do i show him im interested in him?

My suggestion would be to make it as casual as possible. Talk about your interests, or a cool movie you just saw. If he comments that he likes going to the movies, too... then suggest one you would like to see - and do NOT pick a "girlie" movie!
However, before you do this... I would check your interoffice dating rules. In the past few years, several work enviornments have created rules about acceptable dating practices to help prevent sexual harrassment lawsuits!
Check out all of the issues before making a move!

Random conversation is the best way. Start with something stupid like oh this movie is coming out, what do you think?
See with this random question you can see wether or not he likes the movie, and continue on that subject so you can learn a little about him.
So random questions can give you a lot of information.
As to how to show him your intrested, after getting enough information, and still thinking you like him, ask him out to lunch or a smoothie or coffee or something.
Then you can throw hints around.
