I started talking to a girl last spring. We met through a friend but with school and work we have not gotten a chance to actually meet face to face yet. The thing is we have become very close while talking online and over the phone. We both seem to have feelings for each other and have said "I love you" back and forth a few times.

So with that I would like to do something nice for her for Valentine's Day. I thought sending flowers would let her know how much I care about her. The thing is I'm not sure if red roses are best considering how those are supposed to be a symbol for love and even though I do feel like I love her I don't want to scare her away. Any suggestions would be great. Thank you.

As long as she isn't in a relationship with someone else, it should be fine.....send her white roses or fire & ice roses....(or puple, yellow, etc.....) don't send red if you don't feel comfortable....

Have you ever heard of the quote "He gave her a dozen roses, and promises her he would love her until the last rose dies. The girl looked at the roses and found that one of them was fake." As a girl, I would absolutely LOVE what you are doing, being patient, being there for her when she needs you. I think that you should send her roses, and give her a fake one saying in the note "I'll wait for you until this rose dies". It's super romantic! But don't keep pestering her about or bothering her, then you'd just come off as clingy :/ But good luck!!

Well if you want to be careful about it you could always send her whatever flowers she likes the most.

Pick up the phone call her, ask her what her favorite flowers are and then send her those.

If it happens to be red roses then send her pink or white or yellow roses.

Luck!

Well, why are you contradicting yourself?First, you said that you have said 'I love you' back and forth and then you say you don't feel as if you love her?I say you take a second look on what you really feel. Red roses are great. Who told you they are only meant for 'lovers'?That's a lie. It's a good gift, and maybe you can throw a few chocolates. Not if she's fat, though. Have fun.

If you really have the urge to send flowers, send half a dozen pink ones. Red is to much of a statement. Afterall, you haven't even met her face to face yet.

Girls love flowers! Don't send too many though, or try wildflowers, it says you care without being too mushy
